It had a plain wooden frame that was engraved with swirls and stars. The surface was as cold as ice, like everything else in the store. They had the AC turned up way too much. I brushed the fingerprinted surface with a gentle hand. It did nothing besides reflect back. “Eh, oh well. I guess all plain mirrors don’t have a person in there.” I murmured. I pressed my forehead against the cold surface. “But if there were a magical person in there, I would wish for my brother to never have existed. And for my mom to stop comparing me to everyone.” I picked up the mirror. “Quite a light thing you are!”
