Terrance, Nova, and Cole

“Okay…. Was that awkward or was it just me?” Cole says confused. “Just you.” “It was.” Terrance and Nova both say and look at each other. 

“He kept going like oh? You have kids…? Or they’re adopted? Oh they’re your siblings? Like it makes any difference?” Cole mumbles annoyed. 

Nova shrugs, “he probably was wondering if Terrance was a virgin?” “He’s almost 20 Nov? Who’d assume he’s not having sex?” Cole asks confused and Terrance pauses, “But… I’m not having sex.” “Obviously? We know that? But- he doesn’t?” C

Terrance scoffs, “How would you know that? Besides me just saying that…” “Because you haven’t dated since your ex girlfriends?” Cole says nudging Nova and they both burst into laughter. 

“How is that funny…?” 

“I mean you're obviously gay?” Cole says nonchalantly. 

“You think I’m gay?” “Are you not?” Nova asks, confused. “I mean I don’t think so? I like boys too? But- it doesn’t really matter?” “So… You're saying you did something with those girls?” Nova asks, confused. “Oh god no” He says quickly, “I was like 17? And I wasn’t in love with them?” “So?” “So?” He says back confused.

“Guys don’t have sex for love anyways your just weird…?” Cole says and walks into the house. “Well I’m obviously not like other guys? Or there’d be girls and guys in and out of our house all the time.” Terrance says smugly. “Cocky…” Cole mumbles and he laughs. “I’m just saying… I could if I wanted to?” He shrugs. 

“I… Don’t think so?” Nova says, staring up at him. Terrance scoffs, “I mean I know I’m basically your dad? But I think we can agree I’m not ugly.” Nova shrugs, “No, you're actually pretty handsome besides the hair." 

"What's wrong with my hair?" He asks scoffing and she shrugs. "I just don't like it? And plus would someone want to date you? Your… You're a dad?” Terrance scoffs and Cole laughs. 

“Because… I’m funny. And cute? And I have long hair… Which most girls like. And I’m really nice? I’m financially stable. Which is a big flex for adults. I’m really smart. And open minded. I have a reaaaaally big-” “Stop.” Cole says quickly and he smiles, “Heart.” 

They hear a loud thud and all look back to see a package sitting in the middle of the floor. “What’s that? Nova gets up and Cole stops her. “Is that not weird to you?” 

She shrugs and gets up, “It’s just a package? Maybe this is how they deliver their mail?” She says picking up the box. She shakes it confused before opening it while they both share glances at each other and the box.

She stares at it confused. “I don’t know what it is?” She mumbles. 

“Hello. I am a gift from prince Orpheus Bloodthorn. I am all knowing. I am tablet.” They all pause and Terrance puts out a hand for it. She hands it to him and he taps it confused. “Magical input needed.” 

An image appears on the screen of a brown hand tapping the top of the tablet. He looks up at them before lightly tapping it. 

“Hi. Happy moving! Do you have any questions?” The robotic voice says. 

“Yeah? What’s up with our phones?” Cole says confused. 

“Why aren’t our phones working?” Terrance says, staring at it. 

“A cell phone from the other side will get no reception here. Instead, trying to use one constantly will completely disable the phone, preventing supernatural and human contact.” They all look at each other and back at it. It glows brightly and they all look back at it. “Showing cell phone stores.” 

“I guess we are gonna need new phones then?” He mumbles.
