Clear blue sky, ruffling crowd, the sound of the ocean waves, and the stench of rotten fish, gross!. 

Oh my goodness,what is happening out here, I'm sure that I'm somewhere near a dock area but I'm not exactly sure how I reached here.

As I try to get up, I realise my body is heavier than usual. What the heck is going on?. I tried to put force on the ground-like surface with the palm of my hand so that I could push myself up. It didn't work, I don't know why but it felt like I didn't have any strength to even turn around let alone push myself up.

And to make things worse, the blinding sunlight is stabbing my eyes. Ouch!

I tried to shield my eyes with my hands but…

 

 'Just what is going on, why is my hand so small?'. It isn't like the one that should be of an adult .Actually, scratch that. Why is my whole body so small?! It's like I'm an infant! How did this happen?! Suddenly, a middle-aged man with big bulging eyes spots me and freaks out. I mean, come on, I know I look different, but there's no need to stare like I'm an alien or something!

The man was wearing a bandana on his head, which was soaked with sweat or water, causing it to trickle down from his head to his ear.

" Oii ! Luke" the man cried "Look there's a small baby out here." Um, excuse me, aren't all babies small?! But then again, maybe I'm even smaller than a regular baby. 

" Are you drunk this early in the morning, ey!" Screamed another man from afar, probably this Luke guy.

I heard the man coming closer.

" Ooof, what in the name of God is this" cried as the man named Luke looked at me.Oh, the horror! And to top it all off, more people are gathering around to gawk at me. This is insane!

" What shall we do?" Said one man

" Maybe we should sell him, we'd get enough for a cup of drink ehehe," said the other

" Is he human?"

" Of course, can't you see he has legs"

Surrounded by a bunch of drunken buffoons, I couldn't help but observe their idiotic musings about me and their favourite topic: alcohol. What a lovely group to be stuck with, I thought, silently hoping they wouldn't harm me for my organs.

Suddenly, a woman's piercing voice shattered the drunken haze. "Hey, you bloody morons!" she yelled from afar. "You pea-brained alcoholics;Is discussing alcohol all that you're good for?Why don't you go drown in that cheap swill of yours, you assholes!"

Damn, she's rough with her words.

As she marched closer, I couldn't help but notice the striking features of this fiery woman. Her light brown eyes and ebony hair were tightly bound in a ponytail, giving her a no-nonsense air.Her fair skin and sharp gaze were at odds with her bulbous nose, which somehow managed to make her look cute despite her rough demeanour.

She was wearing a light blue shirt that came down to her knees, tied at the hips with a belt-like cloth that gave it a skirt-like design. Dark grey baggy pants and yellow high-top gum boots completed her unique outfit.

She scooped me up with ease, as if I weighed less than a feather, and cooed, "Oh, what a cute and beautiful child you are!" With that, she carried me off to her cozy cottage.

As we entered the small brick-and-mud structure, a putrid odour assaulted my nostrils. A man lay on the bed, thin and drunk, his red eyes peering out from beneath a mop of unkempt hair.

He stumbled towards me, slurring, "Who are you?" I mean, seriously, asking a newborn baby a question? He picked me up and, without warning, hurled me outside the door. The world spun around me as I hit the hard ground. What the hell? Did that just happen? my senses reeled, but I could hear the woman's voice as she rushed to my side.

Once again, darkness engulfed me, but soon after, particles resembling golden and white cells began appearing all around me. I attempted to touch one of the golden particles, but the moment I did, it vanished into thin air. Next, I tried touching one of the white particles, only to have my eyes immediately shut.

Amidst my confusion and disorientation, I could hear the woman shouting at the man while massaging my right leg with a glowing green light. I must have injured myself when the man hurled me, but I felt no pain. I began to wonder if the woman was using some kind of magic. The reality around me was anything but normal. Had I somehow become a character in a fantasy novel? I couldn't see my own face, but I knew I must be making a smug expression.

After the quarrel between the woman and the man, they agreed to let me stay with them, despite the man's objections. It seemed I had a new family now. However, I couldn't shake the memory of the voice that spoke to me during my oblivion.

As I settled into my new surroundings, I learned that the gruff, yet kind woman was the wife of the rude and scrawny man. He seemed perpetually drunk and oblivious to his surroundings. When the woman went to take a bath, she left me alone with him. Though he didn't touch me, he berated me until she returned. As she emerged from the bath, I couldn't help but notice her perfect, wet skin glistening in the light. Water droplets trailed down her face and neck towards her chest,my eyes trailed downwards before I realised my mistake. I felt embarrassed and ashamed for having stared, wondering why no one here covered their bodies with a towel. I tried to suppress my thoughts and emotions, but my odd expression must have given me away, as she stared at me with curiosity and suspicion.

"Hmm, aren't you a little pervert?" she teased, letting out a playful giggle.

A while later, I learned that the woman's name was Alice and the man's name was Eddy, a drunkard who would abuse me whenever Alice wasn't home . The treatment I received from Eddy was the most abhorrent I had ever experienced, and to make matters worse, I was unable to speak. The frustration of being unable to communicate and the abuse I suffered made me long to return to my own world, but I didn't even know which world I was in.

And just like this, my new life began in this world.

*After 4 years*

My life was just fine, I was now used to Eddy's abuse as Alice's love healed all my inner wounds.

Just like every day Alice would leave for the fish Market and Eddy would start drinking alcohol. Sometimes when he would be in a good mood, he would then take me outside for a walk and even take me to the fish market to meet Alice.

I once saw a flight of stairs in this small cottage and it led me to somewhere which looked like an important place. It was some kind of office or something with a bookshelf and a picture of Eddy with Alice and a child in the middle. The child looked like their son, ' I wonder where he is now.' Eddy looked young and non-alcoholic in this picture.

When no one was at home I snuck out of our room and went to the office-like place Eddy had which even had some books related to this world's culture. I picked up the book kept in the lowermost row of the shelf because I couldn't reach out to any other book, ' Why am I so small?' I thought, very much annoyed with the body I got.

This exquisite book delves into the realm of the divine, focusing on the Godly beings worshipped by the people of this land. Known as the "Celestials," they are shrouded in mystery and enigma, with many legends and theories surrounding their existence. With a fervent desire to understand more, I eagerly delved into the highlighted section about the differences between gods and Celestials.

According to the book, Gods are revered as beings above mere mortals, while Celestials transcend even that level of existence. Indeed, it is believed that the world itself is owned by the Celestials, placing them in a realm beyond human comprehension.

Despite their lofty status, there are only a handful of known Celestials. Even among them, some remain shrouded in mystery, appearing only in myth and legend. Those that are known are classified into two groups based on their power and influence over the world: the "Overdeities," who create and maintain the laws of the universe, and the "Deities," who operate on a lower plane.

As I pored over the pages of this captivating volume, I couldn't help but wonder: what kind of world have I found myself in? But as I continued to read, I discovered a page that shed light on these elusive beings, providing a glimmer of understanding amidst the vastness of their mystery

Oh my! I am absolutely astounded by the descriptions of these Celestials! Aiden Chol, a Phoenix King and Deity, seems to be an incredibly powerful figure with a great clan to rule over. It's amazing to think that he considers humans as "lessers" and is consumed by the workings of his clan. 

And then there's Chimera Homer, a female Deity with a lion's head, a goat's middle, and a dragon's backside. It's incredible that not much is known about her, leaving her shrouded in mystery and intrigue.

But perhaps the most fascinating of all is Ophanim galgalim, an Overdeity that nobody has ever seen. I am intrigued by the theories that suggest he may only have one eye, and nothing else, not even a skull.

I simply cannot wait to discover more about the Celestial mentioned on the next page. If the descriptions of these beings are anything to go by, I am sure that this last Celestial will be equally fascinating .

When I turned the page, the thing that touched my eyes was the title, it was big and was written in a beautiful shade of maroon colour.But as I read the name of this Celestial a shiver ran down my spine .

Lucifer,  the one who holds absolute power and authority over Elysian . He reigns over everything and dictates the very cycle of life. Yet, his presence is feared and reviled, for he is the very Celestial who brought about the curse that plagues our world.

Since that fateful day when 'He' cast his curse, the world has withered and wilted. Not a single flower has been able to bloom, and every firstborn meets their demise before they reach six years of age. The people despise him for the atrocities he has wrought upon them, but they still offer sacrifices and worship him out of sheer terror, for no one has ever dared to defy him.

The hope for a world free from his clutches lingers in every heart. Perhaps someday, he will depart from Elysian, and the world will be free from his oppressive reign. But until then, the mere mention of his name sends a chill down the spine and serves as a grim reminder of his terrifying power.

What the f*ck, this is Elysian!!Am I dreaming? Is this the same Elysian from the novel? Well this world has the same magic as described in the book I read in my world?And who are these Celestials? They were never mentioned in the book! Is this the same world that Solis is in? Will I ever be able to meet him? I had so many questions but no answer .

I wonder if this is the same Elysian as the one In the novel  just then I heard a thumping sound from outside the cottage.

'Oh shit, he's here!' I hurriedly kept the books in their place and dashed out of the room but then the door opened and in came Eddy, full on alcohol, with the same putrid smell oozing off of him, and slightly grown beard growing down his chin which gave him a scary look.

He saw me running out of the room and hurriedly caught me by the collar." You little prick! How many times do I have to tell you not to enter that room" he then slammed me, a four-year-old child on the wall. He then punched me in the face a few times and slammed me against the wall again. This is child abuse.

He wasn't like this, sure he did throw me out the first time we met but after that, he did take care of me sometimes, you could say he was like those ' tsundere' but then he suddenly became like this and started abusing me whenever he was drunk.

A few hours later, as I was laying down in the straw bed, Alice came in " oh there you are....oh gosh, did he punch you again?" 

" Oh boy, look how he has messed up such a pretty face of yours...here let me heal you " yes they haven't named me, both Alice and Eddy refer to me as 'boy'

" Also...look what I bought for you today, " said Alice with excitement glimmering all over her face.

She then took out a bag from behind her and in it was a mirror.

" Eh ..a mirror" this is the first time I saw a mirror in this world. The mirror that Alice bought had a metal frame with some unknown figures crafted on its corners. It wasn't a big mirror but one would be able to see their face.

" Look how pretty you are, my handsome boy, '' she said as she held the mirror in front of me. It was also the first time I saw my face after coming to this world, and no wonder the local people used to refer to me as a ' pretty kid'. I was pretty cute, round face with grey hair and the most eye-catching thing about me was my eyes. My eyes were big and round and multicoloured.

Just then I noticed Alice didn't have her pendant on her neck, she never took it off so I wondered why she wasn't wearing it. That pendant is very important to her as it is the last thing that she had which belonged to her mother.

The pendant had a simple yet attractive design, it was made of blue crystal and had a water-drop shape and it was attached to a thin silver chain that had a small hook on both ends.

" Alice your chain..... you're not wearing it today?" I asked with a questioning look on my face.She just looked at me with amazement and  then that amazement changed to a kind smile as she patted my head with her right hand." Don't worry about it."

A few days later, I went out to see and learn more about this world  just then I came across a lady who was selling mirrors, she also had one mirror which was exactly like the one Alice bought for me

.

" Here, pretty boy, looking at your face, huh!" She teased, looking at me .

She looked like any other lady in her thirties but what caught my eye was a pendant on her neck, it was exactly like the one Alice had.

Then I remembered, this world had currencies but they still used the barter system.

Did she? I hurriedly ran towards our cottage. When I swung open the door, there she was, tying up her hair. As I looked at her, I couldn't contain my emotions any longer and tears began to well up in my eyes. I embraced her tightly, feeling the same motherly comfort I had experienced before.

I remembered telling her about mirrors the other day but who would've thought she'd trade something that important for it.

"Why did you exchange your pendant for that mirror?" I asked.

"Hmm... you found out, huh?" she replied, a hint of guilt on her face. "It's just not fair that only we get to see such a  cute and handsome face every day," she joked.

."Thank you ..... Mom," I said, trying to hide my face.

Suddenly, she held me up in her arms. I don't know if I'm weak or if she's just physically strong - after all, she carries kilograms of fish every day. "Did you just call me 'Mom'?" she asked, her face turning red. I thought she would laugh, but instead, she was overcome with emotion.

"You've made me happy today, boy," she said as she wiped away her tears. "Tonight's dinner will be a feast," she added, a huge smile on her face
