"So he's just an asshole" said Shoguri, taking the dough with a teaspoon.
"Don't say that" Yuume scolded him. "It's not his fault the guild's woman made a mistake."
"But he shouldn't attack you, even verbally" said Akiichi, sipping his juice. "It's not nice."
"Maybe he had a bad day" Yuume shrugged.
"You are too nice, Yuume" Shoguri sighed. "Some people here have known yubiwa in the past, but they're not friends anymore. Maybe all yubiwas are like this."
"He moved" corrected him Rencha, with biscuits stuffed in his cheeks. "Not his fault."
"And then we lost contact somehow" added Akiichi. "You know, each of us had his own life, school and problems. We had been writing emails for some time and we met him once for vacation, but..."
"Mikano changed a lot after his father's death and it was uncomfortable for us, especially for me" Rencha rested his head on his hand. "Now I feel a little guilty that I abandoned him, but fifteen years ago I was too young to talk to him normally."
"We could be having some lively discussion and Mikano was sitting on the windowsill, staring out the window" explained Akiichi. "We were stupid kids and we just got tired of how we always had to be the first ones to speak. We always had to keep the conversation going. We always had to call and write, because he was able to keep quiet for months."
"We wrote to him less and less often, because he stopped writing back to us at some point" Rencha sighed. "And then he changed his phone number, he didn't have any accounts on social media and an era of our Little Trinity ended."
">>Little Trinity<<?" Kyuko, Rencha's girlfriend, looked at him curiously.
"We were inseparable at school, so teachers started calling us that, because we were short" explained Akiichi.
"You still are" said Kyuko, playing with her hair, which was turquoise that day.
"Hey!" Rencha glared at her. "You said it yourself that you prefer shorter ones."
"Because I can push you around" Kyuko took a sip of her coffee.
"Mikano was always shorter than us" muttered Rencha, clearly offended.
"Sometimes I wonder if Mikano finally grew over five feet, because last time we saw him, that's exactly how tall he was" said Akiichi. "At least you've outgrown me in the end."
"I'm one inch taller than you" noticed Rencha. "It's not a great achievement."
"Kin-san is short too" added Yuume. "Midori-san told me that I shouldn't pay attention to his height, but it's impossible."
"My aunt is a protestant and she says that shorter people are closer to Hell" said Kyuko.
"Maybe he had a bad day" repeated Yuume. "I won't see him earlier than in July, so we can't end this topic."
"Eh, you're really too nice" Shoguri ate his cake. "You're angry only when Akiichi is losing his feathers in our flat."
"Because Heiwa would find them and eat them and she's having problems with her stomach" explained Yuume.
"Who's Heiwa?" asked Kyuko.
"His kitty" explained Rencha. "He's treating her like his daughter."
"Don't be silly..." Yuume felt a little offended.
Especially because he really was treating Heiwa like his child. He even bought her red coat with fur recently, because he was worried about her health.
Is he acting crazy, because another girlfriend left him? Probably.

When Yuume came back home, he noticed that Heiwa was running happily all over the shelves again. Shoguri disappeared into the kitchen, because he insisted on making dinner. So Yuume had time to put everything back together.
As he was setting up one of the photo frames, he noticed that yubiwa's bell was lying on the carpet. He picked it up. He heard a "ding", when the anvil accidentally hit the sides of the bell.
