“Ok, so I have that, and that. I just need that…” I mumbled, glancing around the mall. It felt so weird, everything did. Just a couple of weeks ago, this place was full of people doing normal everyday stuff. I made sure I still had the necklace on, then kept walking around. I sighed. “Almost done then we can get out of here…” I said to myself. God, I forgot how much I hated being alone. I thought I heard footsteps, but I shrugged it off as my own footsteps echoing around the empty walkways. Why did I have to be so stressed out about this? I had been here before, and never had freaked out like this before, and I stopped in front of a store. “Finally-” I went in, quickly finding what I needed and slipping it into my bag. I looked around. “Nothing there… Ok, let's go…” I turned around and started walking back the way I came, my stress getting worse with every step. I stopped for a second, just taking a couple of deep breaths. Gods, what was happening? I was being way too paranoid, that's for sure. That's when I heard a growl, and narrowly avoided a pair of scissors thrown at my head. I turned to see an infected person behind me. I pulled out my sword. The person growled again and launched another pair of scissors. I blocked them with my sword. As the infected wound up to throw another pair of scissors, a person shoves the infected away and grabs my hand to run. I glanced at the person, looking them up and down. “We should get out of here before more come-” “agreed.” the person responded, “follow me.” “Alright-” I followed the person through a maze of halls till we got to a staircase, the entrance to the basement of the mall. I could feel the necklace resting on my chest. I glanced at the person again as he knocked on the door, “Foolish, I’m back, and I have the other survivor.” The name sounded familiar, but in the heat of the moment, I couldn’t place it. The door opened only enough for the other person and me to be pulled in. The door was then shut and locked. I put my sword back in its sheath and glanced around. The place reminded me of- oh. “Shit-” the man who pulled us in, Foolish, approaches me, he is tall, with dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes. Similar to Dream. He looks at me, probably to make sure I wasn't infected. “He seems ok,” he muttered. “God George is going to kill me,” I whispered. Foolish stopped and looked hopeful, “Wait… There are more?” “Yea- It's me and two of my friends…” “who????” the boy who saved me asked eagerly. “Um- well…” I glanced around the room.
