Jyomi showed him door to door, telling him which room was whose. The first one was Nakayama's Murai's and Okada Hiroto's, the second - Uchida Kazuma's and Ueno Masashi's, the third - Ueta's Kousuke and Fukuda Jyomi's, the fourth - Takeuchi Shinya's and Harada Toshima's, the fifth - Shibata Mida's and Shimada Hashi's and the sixth - Nakano Yama's and Hirano Shino's. There were signs on each door with the names of the conquerors, so Akiya didn't really understand, why Jyomi was explaining all this to him. He could read, really...
"And this is Saito's and Mitsuru's room. They will explain you everything" announced Jyomi, smiled and ran downstairs, leaving him in front of the door.
Akiya opened the door. On the floor he saw two sitting teenagers. They looked androgynous and have been drawing something on papers. But when Akiya walked in, they froze immediately.
"He's a vampire" whispered one of them.
His hair was light blonde, almost white, reaching his waist. He was short and had chubby face, even if he was slim.
"I know" replied the other.
His hair was also blonde, but darker, shorter and tied in high ponytail. He wasn't so slim as his friend and also had chubby face.
"I've heard your steps" said the one without ponytail. "Mitsuru probably did as well."
They looked at Akiya, who was wondering, if they knew that if he didn't have a conscience, they would be dead already.
"You're one of those, who have conscience" said Mitsuru.
"I'm Kawakami Saito and this is Aoshi Mitsuru" Saito introduced them. "Nice to meet you."
"Do you want to know something?" asked Mitsuru.
"Why are you the conquerors?" asked Akiya. "And why conquerors, not hunters or slayers?"
"Oh, it's a silly story" Saito chuckled. "Japanese didn't make up this word."
"Long story short, it's just a mistranslation, but we can't change it now" explained Mitsuru. "And about being a conqueror, we have this in our genes."
"Literally" added Saito.
"The conqueror's gene is passed down from generation to generation."
"In my case, the first one in my family was legendary Kawakami Sayuri" announced Saito.
"Oh" Akiya blinked. "She was my sister-in-law."
"So you have to be old" said Mitsuru.
"And it means that you're that vampire, who was a brother of my ancestor" Saito was a little shocked.
Well, he resembled Kaede a little. He just didn't have brown hair, but Kaede's green eyes were too hard to forget.
"Yes" Akiya nodded. "And you, Aoshi? Do you have any vampires in your family?"
"I don't think so" replied Mitsuru.
"Oh, aren't you the one, who saved Kousuke?" asked Saito.
"Oh, right. We should thank you, because, you know, he's just a White Cloud" announced Mitsuru.
"White Cloud?" Akiya was confused. "What's this?'
"Clouds are the levels of expierence" replied Saito.
"When you're a newbie, you're a Pink Cloud" explained Mitsuru.
"When you kill your first vampire, you're White."
"When you kill 10, you're Blue."
"When you kill 100, you're Navy."
"And when you kill 1000, you're Black."
"Are there any Black Clouds?" asked Akiya.
"Me, Mitsuru and Masashi" replied Saito.
"Murai and Mida are Navy" added Mitsuru.
"The rest of us are Blue."
"But Kousuke, Jyomi and Hiroto are White" reminded him Mitsuru.
"How do you know, who's a vampire?" asked Akiya.
"Normal people can't notice this, but when we're passing by a vampire, we feel cold" explained Saito. "Very sheer cold."
"And how do you know, who's the conqueror?" asked Mitsuru.
"Because of auras" replied Akiya. "When someone is close to us, we can see their aura. It's some kind of light embracing the body. You, conquerors, have green and innocent people have white. Murderers and rapists have black, vampires with conscience have blue, those without it have red. I told Ueta that he should tell you about it."
"Really?" Saito was confused.
"To be honest, you shouldn't count on Kousuke" said Mitsuru.
"Akiya!" Sakamo burst into the room. "Sorry that I'm interrupting your conversation, but dude, we don't have time for more blabbling."
He pointed to the window. It was starting to get bright.
"I don't feel like sitting in some storage room all day" said Akiya. "Unfortunately, we have to go now."
"Come over whenever you want" Saito smiled kindly.
"It's always a pleasure to host these blue vampires" added Mitsuru.
"Blue vampires... I don't think anyone has ever called me that before" Akiya laughed and grabbed Sakamo's waist, then ran to "Yoru".
He was faster, which was probably due to his age, though he wasn't sure if he was right, which was why they got there before the sun rose.
