Selene & Asher

Selene chuckles as she walks up the steps and into Cisily's old room. She knocks lightly on the open door. She smiles slightly staring at Asher who's fast asleep on the ground next to Aiden. "Ash. It's time to get up." She lightly shakes him and he turns over in response. She sighs, staring at him for a moment before opening the curtains letting sunlight flood the room. "Hey. Get up." She says louder and he stares up at her for a few seconds confused. "It's almost 10. Go shower" 

He shakes his head groggily before laying back down, "15 minutes" "No. Not 15 minutes get up now." She throws a pillow at him and he groans before standing up. 

She hands him a small baby monitor and pushes him into the bathroom. 

He looks around the bathroom confused, before looking at the monitor in his hand. 

On the screen he sees his mom setting up the camera facing Aiden before wiggling her arms and doing a worm like dance. After dancing for a few seconds she chuckles and leaves locking the door. "Ma! No!" He yells walking out of the bathroom and she shakes her head  “You're gonna be a fully functioning teenager today!”

He sighs annoyed before going back into the bathroom, stripping out of his clothes, and getting in the shower. 

After about thirty minutes he gets out of the shower and sees folded clothes and a towel on top of the sink counter with a sticky note on top of it. The words, “This was premeditated” written neatly in cursive make him chuckle slightly as he starts to get dressed. 

He walks down the stairs and stares at her cooking in the kitchen. “Good morning, Asher!”

He stares at her blankly before sitting down. "Mornin" 

"Hey. So… I just got a call from the school last night reminding me your schoolwork is due in two days? So I went to check how far you've gotten" She says picking up a folder of schoolwork and two books. "You still have 3 Essays for these books. And I've been trying to let you do what you want because you're older now… But I told you if you're not going to prep school you need to keep up with your assignments." 

He nods slightly, picking up the books. "I know. And I already read the chapters. It just took a long time to do Aiden's first and-" "You did Aiden's?" She asks confused and he nods. "Well yeah- if he's hibernating because of stress he shouldn't wake up to 3 5-page essays on books he hasn't even started?"

"But he'll be given time to complete it." Asher shakes his head slightly, picking up the pencil. "It's fine… It isn't that hard if I actually read the books first and I already wrote 3. I'll just write something similar." 

"Is this all you needed me to do?" He asks writing on the paper. "No. You also need to eat." She says placing a plate of food in front of him. "You look like you've lost some weight. And you have to clean your room. And I've been trying to keep up with the watering schedules but your plants need someone who knows what they're doing." He chuckles and nods slightly. "And after I'll open the door back up"

Asher nods slightly, eating a spoonful of eggs. 

After almost two hours he finishes with each task before coming back downstairs. He stares expectantly at Selene for a few seconds and she pauses. "Oh. Last thing. I promise, could you take out the trash?" He nods slightly doing it and the door opens. 

“Honey!” Drayus calls and Selene goes to the door excitedly quickly hugging him. "You're a week early!" She says kissing him and Asher goes to the door. "Hey! Have you gotten taller?" He kisses Asher's forehead before walking into the house. "Where's Aiden?" He looks around confused. "It's 1pm on a Saturday? Is he not here?" He asks confused and Asher pauses.

"No he is here… But… He's been hibernating for almost 3 weeks." Asher says hesitantly. "Hibernating?" 

"Uhm… You remember in 8th grade during spring break when he stayed over and didn't wake up for like a week? Like that. But his parents said it can be up to 4 weeks and 3 days. And it's 3 weeks soon."

Selene hands Asher the key and they both follow him up to the bedroom. 

"Are they sure the time frame he'll be asleep?" 

"Yeah. They said it's been more than 4 weeks since he was 14. They come see him every few days too"

Drayus pokes his arm slightly and it glows white before fading away. "Oh that's cool" he mumbles and Asher chuckles.
