The Not so Evil Queen’s P.O.V
So my name’s Mina Luck, I had died at a nine to five job that lasted for seven years. Now I’m the evil Queen. It’s been a year since Snow White’s father died, but I have only been here for about three days. Right now I’m trying to undo what the Evil Queen did before I came here. I rehired staff and more guards and I bought Snow White some clothes. I sold a lot of my clothes and only kept the clothes that looked decent enough, I’m in my office right now counting money and it’s not looking so good “‘this is not looking so good, hmm, we need to have trades with other countries, we need festivals, things that makes money and happiness in my kingdom will be good for everyone, plus more money means more buildings or improvements and that means more happy people’” I whispered to myself then there is a knock at my office doors “it’s me Nick, my Queen may I enter?” Nick said from the other side of the door “you may enter” I said then the door opens, closes, I looked up at Nick “my queen” Nick said bowling “what is it Nick?” I asked “you asked to see me” Nick said “oh right I did, I need a list of countries that we have good ties to, even though my husband has died and I’m in his place until Snow is able to take the throne” I said “yes of course is that all?” Nick asked “where is Snow right now?” I asked “I believe she is in the library. Shall I get her for you, my queen?” Nick asked “yes please do” I said “of course my queen I’ll be off then” Nick said “thank you” I said Nick then left I made a list of ideas for making money. After about twenty minutes the door knocks again. “it’s me, Emma, Princess Snow’s lady-in-waiting, Linfia, Princess Snow’s guard and Princess Snow herself. May we enter?” Emma asked “you three may” I said the door opens then it closes I looked up to see the three of them looking at me Emma is wearing a smile but I can tell that she doesn’t like me Linfia isn’t hiding the fact that she also hates me but Snow just looks worried that she did something wrong in my eyes “(let’s go for some conversation starters first before I ask her) so Snow how have you been?” I asked “umm I’ve been good, how are you?” Snow asked, I stood up and walked over to the small sitting area I have. “I’ve been good, come sit with me for a moment” I said Snow sits down in front of me Linfia and Emma are standing right behind her “do you want something to drink or maybe something to eat?” I asked, I rang a bell for my maids “umm tea is fine, thank you” Snow said “of course” I said there’s a knock at the door “it’s me, Gemma, my Queen, may I come in?” Gemma asked “you may” I said Gemma walked in and closed the door Gemma walked over to me “is there something you need my Queen?” Gemma asked Bowing, “yes can you make some tea for the Princess and myself and some cookies please?” I asked “yes of course my Queen I’ll be back in fifteen minutes more or less” Gemma said “yes of course and thank you” I said “no problem my Queen I’m going to go now my Queen” Gemma said bowing then she left I turned my attention to Snow “so what have you been learning in your lessens, Snow?” I asked “oh umm let me see I’ve been learning how to do ballroom dancing, how to do public speaking, how to count money quicker, how to write more fancier, how to do embroidery, how to paint and how to decorate for like balls and tea parties” Snow said “is that all?” I asked “y-yes” Snow said “well that’s very impressive how is your embroidery doing?” I asked “umm Miss Lucas says that I’m doing quite well but it looks bad to me” Snow said “well I would love to see some of your work sometime and your paintings too” I said “oh umm yes of course” Snow said “have you been sleeping well?” I asked “yes I have Step Mother” Snow said “that’s good to hear, have you been reading anything good lately?” I asked “umm I don’t know yet, I have been reading, just don’t know if it’s good or not yet” Snow said “well that’s okay, I’ve been thinking when I have sometime to myself that I would like to start reading do you think you can find me some books?” I asked “oh umm well what type of book, like fantasy or romance, a novel or mystery?” Snow asked “hmm I don’t know, can you start with four books with different types, if that’s okay?” I asked “excuse me my Queen but can’t you ask one of your maids to do that?” Linfia asked “(she’s saying to f**k off she’s not your maid she’s a Princess so act like she’s one, well two can play this game) are you saying that I can’t ask my own Step daughter for recommendations since I have never read something for fun before?” I asked “no of course not my Queen” Linfia said “good because from what I know of from my five ladies-in-waiting only one can read and that’s Gemma who was just here and she doesn’t have much time to read plus if she’s not here she’s looking after her father and mother who are now elderly, so no I can’t ask them” I said “I apologise my Queen” Linfia said “and I accept your apology, but Snow I only wanted to ask that because I wanted to go to the library with you.I wouldn’t know where to start so if I know what I liked after you help me. Then I can find something, and I only wanted to ask you now so you know ahead of time. I’m still too busy right now” I said “of course Step mother when you find yourself with time and I don’t have anything like classes or something, we can go to the library and I can help find something for you to read.” Snow said “thank you Snow” I said then there is knocking “it’s Gemma my Queen, may I come in” Gemma said from the other side of the door “you may” I said Gemma opens the door to my office, she came in with a trolley walking over to us Gemma placed the tea and cookies down on the coffee table “here’s your black tea my Queen and my Princess, the chef had made choc chip cookies” Gemma said “thank you Gemma” I said “thank you Gemma” Snow said “no problem my Queen and my Princess if that is all I’ll be going now” Gemma said “that is all so you may go now” I said then Gemma bowed and left I picked up the tea pot and put the hot tea in both tea cups “do you want sugar and milk Snow?” I asked “umm yes please two sugars please” Snow said “okay then" I said I put the two sugars in both tea cups and I put milk into Snow’s cup and cold water into mine I placed Snow’s cup closer to her. Linfia looked like she was going to drink Snow’s tea to see if it was poisoned or something so I grabbed the spear tea cup and just put milk in it and I drank it all once I finished it I then started to drink my tea Linfia looked away knowing what she was about to do and I found out, “(check mate)”.
