Duke Orsino was still sighing and wrying away, calling out to Olivia continuously. But this also means that he always send out Cesario to deliver messages to the Olivia, begging for her love. This itself, has some few side effects.
"Oh Cesario! You come here everyday, begging me to give out my love to the Duke! Hasn't he given up already?" Olivia questioned. "My master is faithful and dedicated, a man who can give you everlasting love! I know that you understand this, the way I understand you, my lady" The way Cesario called out Olivia's name constantly, made her.. clinged onto him. He was sweeter and more delicate then the other messages the duke sends.
After the daily message, Cesario returns to the Duke's quarters.
"Cesario!" Called out Valentine (a friend of the Duke if you forgot) "The duke is planning to hold a ball soon." "A ball? When?" "From about a month now! It'll be a masquerade!" "What?! Is there some type of special event going on?" "No! Not at all, but I think he plans to invite Olivia too, in hopes to ask her to marry!" Now the time has come, he realized that the duke never actually went to Olivia's house personally, or send hand written messages. He realized that, the duke never really took a step forward or tried. "Who else will the duke invite?" Cesario continues, while walking down with Valentine. "Maybe the Duke of Athens perhaps? It's their 2 year anniversary soon." "Hm, so just some Duke's and Duchess's right?" "Yes, the ball will be held in a month or two." "Has he told the staff yet? To start arranging?" "Yes, and he wants us to meet him for invites in the coming days." "Oh alright, Atleast this'll keep him busy from sending us to cry for Olivia all the time!" "I'm glad, maybe he'll get another love at the ball." "Oh I hope so. I'm starting to think that when we're told to go send verbal messages, we should just go to the tavern to drink!" The two joked on while walking.
Curio (also the Duke's friend, if you forgot) joined them from a room when the two were walking down the hall "The Duke is having tea in the garden this time." Curio explained "the garden? He usually has his tea indoors." Said Valentine. "Maybe just trying something new?" Cesario says. "Regardless let's go meet him."
They all arrive at the garden, but the Duke was not madly in love, sighing away this time. He was taking the ball planning seriously. "My Lord! You should've called us before starting so we can help." Valentine talks. "It's all right, I am the duke! I take my responsibilities with compassion." Although the Duke says that, it didn't seem so for the past weeks according to the three. "Well, let's divide the work, shall we?"
The pacing is kind of weird but the pacing was like this in the book, but from here I'll try to make it not so fast!!
