Dragon's Earth: the true tale of the past and the beginning.
A savior
A savior
Feb 18, 2023
A whole month was soon passing by and I took notice of many maids and servants all getting extremely busy as Helio was growing closer.
I looked at Drogan as he sat kicking his legs, eating his sandwich.
" Why is everyone so busy ?" I inquired as I reached over to grab a cookie.
He looked over at all the maids rushing by with white fabric in their arms and white flowers, mostly everything they were holding was white.
" Helio, it's the holy month. All month long we wear white and gather at the church to praise the life given to us by you and the other gods every day. The nobles give food to those in need and the priests all gather to heal the sick." He shrugged softly as I watched the maids scurrying around with many chores to do.
" King Atticus had your help to make this kingdom as prosperous as it is today. We celebrate this month as a reminder that our kingdom was saved from disease, hunger, and poverty because of you Bone." He grinned with a look of admiration.
I stared at him confused and speechless. I did remember him telling me his ancestor King Atticus did have my help in growing his small kingdom into what it is now, but how did I help with saving them from sickness and hunger!?
I gasped softly as I stood from my seat, Drogan looked at me now with confusion on his face as I took on realization.
"The clearing and the river!" I turned looking at him excitedly
" What about them?" He asked with soft confusion
" They are places that are a part of this kingdom. Both didn't have much life to them before I arrived. The barren clearing is now teeming with flowers and trees that were not even planted, and the river has coral and aquatic animals living in it now!" I smiled big as Drogan then also took on the realization
" I remember that the river wasn't even as sparkling as it is now before you started living in it for those few days." He grinned
" You being around the kingdom must be some kind of good luck charm, history before you arrived said that our kingdom's farmlands always had complications getting any harvest. Then after you arrived we'd have bountiful harvests each season." He looked at me with even more admiration
" I wouldn't even have been born if it wasn't for you." He hopped from his seat and hugged me tightly. I rubbed his head tenderly, smiling.
Maybe it was a good thing I arrived when I did all those years ago, it led to the birth of this royal family whom I held very dear to me. I now realized my children could only do so much when it came to taking care of the lands. Not everything would live and grow just because I wanted it to, life was something to be taken care of and nurtured.
I took Drogans’ hand into mine and walked with the child. Our maids followed us, as we roamed the palace's busy halls. I watched as pots of flowers and clothes were all hung on the columns of the palace. The rugs and carpets were also changed out for pure white ones, it was so nice to see everyone so eager to get everything ready for the upcoming month.
Queen Starla stood with a few of the palace butlers, as she held some kind of papers, we both perked up as we saw her and neared her.
“Mother, are you still busy?” Drogan asked as he went to her
The queen smiled lovingly as she crouched down and hugged her son.
“Oh my darling little prince, I'm never too busy to talk to you!" She smiled sweetly as one of the butlers looked at the prince with a tender smile then looked over at me and bowed softly.
I recognized him as Shirley from when I first arrived here.
His gray hairs and tightly wrinkled skin aged with years of hard work. I nodded my head towards him. A smile played on my lips as I watched mother and son talk and spend time with each other.
" I'm just working on this list of supplies brought in for Helios." She smiled as she held up the list of papers with writing on them.
I took a look at the list and read all the items that had been checked off.
Flowers, bedding, towels, clothes, food, medicine, plates, cups, silverware. Just a few of the items I saw listed. It seemed like she had everything on the list all accounted for and the butlers were helping her along with the housekeepers and maids.
It was amazing to me to see how everyone worked hard on making sure the preparations for the upcoming new month were going smoothly. I stood up and walked to the gardens outside. I felt like doing something to pass the time while the royal family was preparing for the upcoming month.
The maids a few weeks ago taught me how to arrange flowers and make flower crowns, so I busied myself into creating some. I sat down in a clearing of grass fiddling with the flowers as I worked their stems into intricate twisted rows.
After a while I noticed some pixies watching as I worked, I smiled at them, waving my hand. Most stared while some flew close to me taking in my being.
" Are you a fairy queen?"
" She's so pretty!"
" I want one of those!"
I smiled and chuckled as I softly moved the flower crown towards the pixies. They were so small and delicate looking. I never would have noticed them in my previous form as they'd just look like tiny bits of pollen in my eyes.
" Hello little ones I am no fairy, far from it truly. I know I probably look like one, to you cute little creatures but I am just a goddess, a mother of dragons."
" You're a High Ethereal one!"
" An Ethereal one!"
" A Dragon Ethereal!"
I chuckled as they all surrounded me, their magic dust sparkling and flowing around as they flew.
The pixies were so cute and tiny. They looked like elves but they had very big eyes and a very colorful nature to them, as well as having the elements a part of their being.
I smiled sweetly as I sat there basking in the light of the day as I made tiny flower crowns for the pixies using smaller flowers. It was simple to do when having long and sharp, claw-like nails.
It took all the days' time to make each one their own unique crown. Yet seeing their smiles and joyful fluttering around made it all worth the while.
Gods. What is a god to you? Someone with power to mold and create? Someone with powers to heal? To destroy? To love? Yes that is what you might think a god is.
I'm a god, a dragon goddess to be precise. My name, well it's Bone. I set out on a journey to find a home, a planet made by myself, molded with my own powers. Even with the help of other gods this home of mine would belong to my children and their kin.
As a gift to me for creating a beautiful and wonderful home, my mother, a goddess above all gods, blessed me with a gift. A seed of different intelligent creatures.
Yet a specific species called humans truly intrigued me. They taught me things about their cultures. They welcomed me into their home. They gave me love and happy memories. They took from me, asking and begging for me to give them whatever they desired. I did, I thought that's what you'd do to something you loved.
No!
It's not. That wasn't love. It was a mistake. An accursed mistake that cost me everything I held dear to me. My home, my children, even my own body. All taken from me. I will make them pay for what they did. What they became. War will wage and in the end…
I Will Be Victorious.
I Will Be What Remains.
I WILL BURN THEM ALL!
