(we used to hang out here a lot. its not the most popular park in juneville since its mostly just a bathroom and a somewhat tended-to patch of woods, so it was easy for us to just be here, undisturbed.)
(there wasn't much to do, but we always had plenty to say. both of us were starting to realize something felt off about ourselves. who we were and what our parents wanted us to be. i guess that just came out full force that afternoon.)
(he always had a way of going about this stuff. like he had it all figured out well before he told me what he truly wanted to be. probably did, honestly. whatever he decided about himself, he knew he needed to get away before mom and dad got the full picture.)
