In Polish language there is a form of addressing another person that's a mix between a formal "Mister Smith" and informal "John" (or if you prefer Japanese example: "Yamada-San" and "Torou-Chan"). You say Miss/Mister and use a diminutive form of the first name eg. Mister Johnny ("Panie Janeczku"). This is used most often in an office environment when you're not as close to your colleagues to call them by their first name (or nickname) and also don't want to create false formal situation and use Mister Smith (Panie Kowalski). It's also a bit antiquated and ridiculed nowadays by Millennials and GenZs but still persists, and I don't think it will ever go away.
