Earlier today at the Gleitas estate. 

"What do you mean you're dating a boy?! Kalt think about what that will do to the family's reputation and our image! The shame it'll bring to us," Kalt's father said.

"I did, but you're too narrow-minded to understand it. Think about it when you can boast about your son, the one with the highest grades in the school, president of the student council, and I have a spotless record despite my upbringing, so dating the 2nd smartest person at school, the captain of the football team, and the fact that an accidental pregnancy can't happen to bring shame should be seen as fine. I could be dead, on drugs, drinking, being a goddamn whore, but no, I’m excelling in this shitty environment that you set up here."

" Shitty environment? Didn’t I give you the best technology, the best tutors, and the best schooling possible? Yet you still turn out this way?” My father said.

“Wow it's almost as if you forget the beatings that you put me through daily for minor things, the isolation I lived through, it's almost as if the environment has nothing to do with me being gay,” I responded.

“ Also what about the fact that he is a lower class, and a Mexican? What about that?"

" Why the hell should that matter? His family is legal and he is even a 5th generation American citizen, and he's still in my school. You know the most expensive and prestigious in the country. Think about it before you lose your only heir to Gleitas Industries. I look up to Amaya more than you.”

“Who the hell is Amaya?”

“She's our Maid and Nanny, how could you forget that she's been here longer than you.  You know mother would have never tolerated this behavior of yours right?"

"Whatever we're leaving. Let's go Fier," I said, grabbing Fier’s hand and walking towards the door.

"See ya Mr. Gleitas," Fier said, waving at my father and following me out the door.

"Your father is a complete embarrassment, " Blair said. "Not only is he racist, but also classist and homophobic. Nice move threatening the company though."

"Figured that was the best move considering how I still don't trust him after my mother's death," Kalt said. "He's so suspicious of that fact, don't you agree, Blair?"

"Definitely, but let's go and enjoy our hayride now, nice hero costumes you two by the way," Mare said.

"Oh thanks, I had our tailor make them for us."

“It's almost fitting that the power couple of the school is the Heroic duo of the town. Although I'm surprised you didn’t go scary like usual. The convention costume would have been perfect for you two.”

Everyone piled into the trailer First mare, then Blair and Connor, and finally Fier and I cuddled up on the end.
