The team were making their way through the sand, when they felt an earthquake, it was a giant sand worm. The giant sand worm began to burrow its way towards the trio. Naelina quickly sprang into action. She reached for the demon spirit bracelet on her wrist and began to chant an ancient incantation. In an instant, the demon spirit she collected earlier, used the sand to create a body for itself. It began to fight the sand worm. But that sand demon alone wasn't enough, so Naelina used another spell to create three small sand demons, materialized from the desert sand, each one no larger than a small dog. They were fierce little creatures with horns on their heads and holes for eyes, and they were eager to do Naelina's bidding.
With a wave of her hand, Naelina sent the demons charging towards the worm. They leaped onto its back, punching and kicking at its thick hide. The worm thrashed and writhed in pain, and the demons held on tight, determined to bring the beast down.
The worm was not so easily defeated. It twisted and turned, trying to shake off the demons, but Naelina was not done yet. She chanted louder, her voice growing louder and more powerful. And with a final, deafening roar, she summoned Shadow while giving him a massive demonic body and a power buff.
Shadow came out enormous, towering over the worm. Its body was made of dark smoke like material, and its eyes glowed with a fierce yellow light. With a roar of its own, it lunged at the worm, grasping it with its giant hands and swallowing it whole.
The worm let out a final screech of pain before it was fully devoured by the demonic cat. The sand demons returned to being desert sand, and Naelina's demon spirit returned to its bracelet.
Zaruya and Glasses looked at Naelina with amazement. They had never seen her unleash such power before, and it was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.
"Wow, that was so cool!" Zaruya screamed.
"It seems that your training with elder Arcanis bore its fruits." Glasses remarked.
They knew that from now on, Naelina was not someone to be underestimated.
The trio had been traveling for days through the scorching desert, searching for the hidden ruins mentioned by Arkadius. As they approached the ruins, they could see the towering walls rising up from the sand. The walls were made of a dark stone, and were covered in intricate carvings and symbols. The entrance was a massive archway, flanked by two stone statues of fierce beasts. The statues seemed to be alive, and the team could feel their eyes following them as they passed.
Once inside, the team found themselves in a vast courtyard. The ground was made of smooth stone, and the walls were decorated with colorful frescoes and gold-leafed mosaics. The courtyard was surrounded by a colonnade of marble columns, each one intricately carved with scenes of battle and sacrifice.
At the center of the courtyard stood a large statue of what looked like a demon king, holding a staff and a grimoire. The statue seemed to be made of some dark metallic material, and its eyes seemed to follow them as they passed. The trio could sense the power emanating from the statue. They were in the presence of something truly ancient and powerful.
As they explored the ruins, they found themselves navigating a maze of corridors and chambers. Some were totally empty, while others were booby-trapped with deadly traps and puzzles. And despite the danger, the trio pressed on, driven by their curiosity and the promise of untold riches.
Shadow, being able to regenerate its body by consuming Naelina's energy, played a critical role in discovering the traps. At the same time, Naelina and glasses were able to solve the puzzles while Zaruya fought with the guard-bots.
In the end, the team found themselves in a grand hall, filled with ancient artifacts and treasures. As they gathered up their spoils, Naelina saw a book, it's more like the old book called her.
It was a strange and ancient tome, bound in leather and adorned with intricate, arcane symbols. She couldn't believe her eyes as she picked it up and opened it to the first page. The text was written in a language she couldn't understand, but as she flipped through the pages, she felt a strange pull towards the book, as if it was calling to her.
The demon spirit in her bracelet began to stir, as if it was trying to communicate with her. The spirit got out of the bracelet and entered the book, the text started glowing, and as it did, memories flooded back to her. She was the demon sorceress Vaelorin, and she served under her master, the great demon Zalzithar, who was one of the ancient masters of the dark arts. And the book Naelina had found was no other than the "Book of Zalzithar". Written and enchanted by the great demon himself, the ancient tome held immense powers and was considered to be a legendary artifact.
With Vaelorin's help, Naelina was now able to translate and read the book of Zalzithar. It turns out that Zalzithar had been searching for a powerful dark sorcerer to be his successor and continue his legacy. Vaelorin believed that Naelina had all the requirements her master was looking for in his heir. Vaelorin also stated that with this book, Naelina had the potential to become one of the most powerful dark mages in existence.
The hidden ruins were a place lost to time, it was once a large stronghold for the great demon Zalzithar, which was used as a training ground for his apprentices. The walls were adorned with demonic symbols and inscriptions, and the air was thick with the smell of brimstone. The place was covered in dust and cobwebs, but it was clear that it was once grand and imposing.
Naelina continued flipping through the pages, and realized that the ruins were not just a place of training but also a place for dark art research. And the book in her hand was a portal to a small demon realm created by Zalzithar himself, as he started dabbling with space magic in the later stages of his life. The small demon realm in the book was a place where a dark sorcerer can go to meditate, store artifacts and even raise demons and other creatures. Basically, Naelina was holding a tiny world in her hands. But the portal was sealed by strong magic and it was only accessible by certain people. Luckily, Vaelorin knew how to open the portal, but first, Naelina had to learn and improve her skills before she was allowed to enter the book's dimension.
As the team searched the ruins more, guided by Vaelorin, they found a hidden chamber behind a turning wall. It was a laboratory filled with strange, arcane equipment, and strange symbols were etched into the walls. There were tables covered in alchemical ingredients, and strange, glowing crystals were set into the corners of the room.
Glasses, who was always fascinated by technology and mechanics, couldn't help but be amazed by the advanced technology he saw in the chamber. He saw ancient robots and machines that were built differently than anything he had ever seen before. He couldn't wait to start studying and learning how they worked.
Zaruya, who was always more interested in physical combat, was intrigued by the weapons and armor she saw in the chamber. She saw ancient swords and shields, as well as armor made of an unknown material that seemed to be able to generate magic attacks. She couldn't wait to try them out and see how they performed in battle.
Zaruya liked to try new weapons and armors, but only fought seriously without any armor on as she felt they were too constricting for her movements. As for the weapons, she only used a knife, and currently she was only using her robotic arm.
The group decided to stay in the ruins for a while. Glasses repaired some guard-bots so Zaruya can fight against them and train while playing with the new weapons she found. At the same time, Naelina had the book of Zalzithar to uncover its secrets, and Vaelorin to help her every step of the way.
Few weeks passed, and Naelina was now ready for the next step. After learning the magic of Zalzithar from his book, Vaelorin thought that Naelina was now ready to go inside the small demon realm. She activated the book's aura for Naelina, who approached the book that was now glowing and brimming with dark magical aura. The demon-elf felt a strange energy emanating from it. She reached out and touched the cover, and as soon as her fingers made contact, she was sucked into the pages. She found herself in a dark and misty realm, surrounded by twisted and gnarled trees. The air was thick with the smell of brimstone and the sound of screams echoed in the distance.
As she walked deeper into the realm, she saw the ruins of an ancient temple. The stone walls were cracked and overgrown with moss, and the roof had long since collapsed. In the center of the temple stood a throne, it was the throne of Zalzithar, the old master of this world. The throne was surrounded by floating orbs of dark magic energy and ancient texts. Naelina felt a pull towards the throne, as if it was calling out to her. She approached it and sat down, feeling a surge of power and knowledge flowing through her. She realized that this was where Zalzithar stored all of his knowledge and power, and that by sitting on the throne, she was able to access it all, but understanding and using the knowledge were a different matter.
She spent hours studying the ancient texts and learning powerful spells and incantations. She also discovered that Zalzithar left behind several powerful artifacts, including a demon-summoning ring, able to open a gate to the demon realm, a dark magic energy orb, which was a sort of battery for dark magic energy, and about a dozen of spirit holding stones where spirits can be stored and raised, kind of like the bracelet where Vaelorin lives.
As she explored the small universe, she also discovered that Zalzithar left behind several of his demon followers, who were now just skeletons, but according to Vaelorin they could be revived and used as skull servants if infused with a spirit.
Naelina also learned that the demon realm was a different world, a parallel dimension created by the most powerful ancient demons. It was a suitable environment for demons and demonic creatures. Summoning lesser demons from the demonic realm was a pretty easy task. Even summoning the most powerful of demons was considered easy in front of physically going there. That's why most sorcerers used a lesser demon as their proxy if they wanted to venture into the demon realm.
As Naelina left the small universe, she felt a newfound sense of purpose and power. She knew that she had to continue to hone her skills and gain more knowledge in order to reach her full potential as a demon sorceress.
One day, while flipping through the pages of the book of Zalzithar, Naelina saw mentioned something about the three great demonic artifacts, one of them was the book of Zalzithar which contained the small world, the other two artifacts where the heart of Tuniir which transformed the user into a dark energy generating machine, and the orb of Nutherael that helped the user control all dark energy in a certain range and influence the wills of weaker beings who possess dark energy. As she continued flipping through the pages of the book, Naelina felt lucky to have received one of these legendary artifacts and thought to herself how amazing would it be if she could control all three of the great demonic artifacts, then she laughed and thought to herself that it's wishful thinking and she should count herself lucky to even have one of these artifacts. But who knows what the future is hiding for our protagonist.
One year had passed since the trio started exploring the ruins of Zalzithar, and finally they were ready to pack and returned to Arkadius' tower to report to him about their findings and thank him for suggesting that place.
Arkadius listened intently as the trio relayed their story and the information they uncovered about the three great demonic artifacts. He was intrigued by the idea of such powerful objects and suggested that they should set out on a quest to find them, and he will use his contacts to help as much as possible.
Naelina was excited about the prospect of finding these artifacts and using them to gain even more power. Zaruya also was excited and always ready and eager for a new adventure. But Glasses was a little bit more hesitant because he knew the dangers and risks that were expected, but he still knew that it was an opportunity not to be missed. They knew it would be a dangerous journey, but it was important for the team that Naelina becomes stronger and therefore the team becomes stronger.
Arkadius used the cloud to gather information and was able, through his contractors, to locate approximately the underground demon land, where they can find out more about the artifacts.
He gave the trio a map and instructions on how to reach the demon land, warning them that it would be a dangerous journey and that they should be prepared for the worst. The trio thanked Arkadius for his help and set off on their journey.
