(Knock!! Knock!! Knock!!) The sound of knocking on the door repeatedly startled Hinasu, causing her to jump in surprise. As she opened the door, she was met with the displeased expressions of her parents, who told her to go down to the living room immediately. Hina's heart raced as she descended the stairs, uncertain of what was waiting for her below.
Upon entering the living room, Hina saw the parents of the girl who had gossiped about her yesterday, along with a teacher from class. The girl herself sat nearby, her scared expression and the marks on her head from being hit with something hard adding to the tense atmosphere in the room.
"Good afternoon, Hina," the teacher greeted her sternly. "We need to discuss your behavior from yesterday."
Hina's heart was pounding in her chest as she looked around the room. She couldn't believe what was happening. She knew that she had been in a bit of trouble before, but she had never imagined that it would escalate like this.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand," Hina said, looking at the teacher with confusion. "What did I do?"
"You know exactly what you did," the teacher replied sharply. "You attacked your classmates and disrupted the school day. Not to mention skipping class and putting yourself in danger on the Ferris wheel."
Hina shook her head, still not understanding. "I don't remember doing any of that," she said quietly.
The parents of the girl who had gossiped about her were glaring at Hina, their anger and disgust clear on their faces. Hina's parents looked just as angry, but also concerned.
"We will deal with this matter in a professional manner," Hina's father said in a stern voice. "We will not tolerate any disrespect towards our family."
But before anyone else could say anything, one of the other parents in the room suddenly exploded with rage.
"You think you're better than us, don't you?"
he shouted, pointing a finger at Hina's parents.
"Well, let me tell you something. Your daughter is a menace to society! She should be expelled from school!"
Hina's mother tried to calm the man down, but he wouldn't listen. He continued to hurl insults and curses at Hina's family, causing the room to erupt in chaos.
Hina felt tears welling up in her eyes as she realized the severity of the situation. She didn't know what to do or say. All she wanted was for everything to go back to normal.
Hina try to help her mom, she noticed strange things happening in the room. A betta fish swam through her mother's head. Hina stood frozen in shock as she tried to process what was happening before her eyes.
"Mom, what's going on? Do you see this?"
She exclaimed, her voice laced with fear. Her mother, who had been sitting on the couch, appeared to be unaware of the bizarre happenings around her.
"What are you talking about, Hina? I don't see anything out of the ordinary."
she replied, sounding confused.
As Hina looked around the room, she noticed that the colors of the walls, ceiling, and furniture were changing rapidly, swirling and morphing into different hues.
The once beige sofa was now a deep shade of purple, and the walls were a kaleidoscope of colors. It was like nothing she had ever seen before.
She saw a betta fish swimming through her mother's head again.
"Mom, there's a fish swimming through your head!"
she yelled, pointing at the fish.
But her mother just looked at her with a blank expression.
"What fish? There's no fish, Hina. Are you feeling okay?"
she asked, now sounding concerned.
Suddenly, Hina heard a loud and unfamiliar parade music blaring from somewhere in the room. The sound was deafening, as if the band was playing right beside her. She felt the vibrations of the drumbeat in her chest, and the blaring trumpets made her ears ring. And then, she saw hundreds of betta fish slowly penetrating the room, swimming through the air as if it were water. She could hear the gentle swooshing sound they made as they swam, and the rustling of their fins.
Their bright and vibrant colors added to the surreal dream-like quality of the room. She could see the shimmer of their scales, and the way they darted and weaved around each other in a graceful dance. The room itself seemed to pulse and shift, the colors morphing and twisting like living things.
Hina couldn't believe what was happening. She felt like she was in a different world, a world that was both mesmerizing and terrifying. The pace of the story was so fast that it made her feel like she was in a dream.
"What's happening to me?"
Hina whispered to herself, as she tried to make sense of the surreal experience. But no one seemed to hear her, lost in the chaos of the surreal living room. Without thinking, Hina ran for her life, fleeing the bizarre and unsettling living room. As she left the house, She found that the whole world seemed to be mixing together, blending the dream world and the real world into a single, surreal experience.
The streets were alive with color and movement, Air felt charged with electricity, as if every sensation was heightened to an extreme degree. The scents of exotic flowers mixed with the acrid tang of city pollution, creating a heady aroma that filled Hina's nostrils. The sounds of bustling crowds and strange creatures were a symphony of noise that swirled around her. Even the ground beneath her feet felt different, as if it were alive and pulsating with an energy that she couldn't quite understand.
As she walked, the line between the dream world and reality began to blur. The strange creatures that she had thought were mere figments of her imagination now seemed to be merging with the real world. The buildings that had twisted and turned in impossible ways were now standing before her in their full, bizarre glory.
Despite the overwhelming beauty of it all, Hina couldn't help but feel a sense of dread building within her. What if she couldn't find her way back to reality? What if this dream world consumed her completely, leaving her trapped in this surreal existence forever? The thought sent shivers down her spine, even as she tried to shake off the unease and embrace the adventure of it all.
As Hina moved through the surreal landscape, she noticed that the world around her was changing. The colors were becoming more vibrant and intense, and the sounds grew louder and more distinct. She felt a cool breeze on her skin, and the smells of the city became more pronounced.
Buildings that had twisted and turned in impossible ways now merged with the skyscrapers of the city. It was as if two worlds were colliding, creating a bizarre and unpredictable reality.
The sun was setting, casting the sky in a deep red hue. The colors around her grew even more intense, and Hina felt as if she were being pulled deeper into the dream. The darkness that had been lurking beneath the surface of the world now seemed to be closing in around her, and she felt a sense of foreboding that she couldn't shake.
As she continued to walk, the world around her became more distorted and surreal. The buildings grew taller and more twisted, and the creatures that walked beside her became more grotesque and monstrous. The sounds grew louder and more chaotic, and the colors became more intense and overwhelming.
Hina knew that she needed to find her way out of this strange and dangerous world, but she didn't know how. She felt lost and alone, trapped in a world that was both beautiful and terrifying.
It was as if there was a darkness lurking just beneath the surface of the dream world, waiting to pounce on her at any moment.
"What's up?" Hina suddenly stumbled upon a voice that greeted her, the sounds of pep and familiarity belonged to Mikan. "What is this?" Hina asked Mikan, slightly scared.
"It's called reality distortion,"
Mikan smiled at her terrified Hina.
“Right now, what you are seeing in the real world is merging with the dream world. It's fascinating, transformative, and sometimes profound. But it can be confusing, frustrating, and potentially dangerous. Thanks to the last Dream Pill that we ate, we were able to get to where we are now,”
explained Mikan, opening his arms wide to welcome the new world with a hysterical laugh.
Hina tried to make sense of it all, but her mind was reeling. She couldn't believe what was happening to her, and the thought of being trapped in this strange, otherworldly place filled her with despair. She looked around, taking in the surreal landscape that surrounded her. The trees were twisted and gnarled, their branches reaching out like twisted fingers, and the sky was a sickly shade of green.
Hina lay on the ground, tears streaming down her face, as she struggled to process the events of the past few hours. She had never felt so lost and alone in her life. Her decision to take the dream pills had seemed harmless at the time, but now she realized the grave mistake she had made.
As she lay there, Hina reflected on her life and the reasons why she had turned to the dream pills. She had been feeling lost and directionless, stuck in a mundane routine that seemed to have no end. The pills promised an escape from reality, a chance to experience something new and exciting.
But now, as she looked back on the surreal world she had just experienced, Hina realized that she had been chasing an illusion. The world of her dreams was beautiful and captivating, but it was also fleeting and ultimately unfulfilling.
Hina felt remorse for the choices she had made and the people she had hurt along the way. Her quest for escape had blinded her to the consequences of her actions. She just wants to be at peace.
Mikan stopped laughing and stared at Hina who was sitting miserably crying. She walked closer to her and spoke to her calmly again.
"There is a surviving scientist of the dream pills project. Go find him."
"Eh...then where can I find it?" Hina asked with a sobbing voice.
"Silly girl...don't you remember? The last forum you read about."
When Hina heard what Mikan said, her eyes opened up amidst her shed tears. She remembered reading about a surviving scientist who had managed to escape the destruction caused by the Dream Pill project.
Hina nodded, grateful for the glimmer of hope that Mikan had given her. She wiped away her tears and took a deep breath, determined to find the scientist and put an end to this nightmare once and for all.
As she walked, the world around her shifted and changed, creating a vivid and surreal setting that was both beautiful and terrifying. The trees became more twisted, and the sky grew darker, as if reflecting Hina's inner turmoil. Hina tried to focus on her mission, but her thoughts kept drifting back to the reality distortion and what it could mean for her and everyone else.
She had to hurry. The clock was ticking, and she didn't know how much time she had left before it was too late. The pace of the story quickened, and Hina ran faster, her heart pounding with fear and determination. She stumbled over gnarled roots and dodged twisted branches as she made her way through the surreal landscape.
She had to find the scientist and stop this madness before it was too late. Hina knew that the fate of life rested on her shoulders, and she was determined not to let it slip away.
