(No One's Pov)
Gamer sat along in his room, trying to empty his head as he scrolled through his phone, somewhat dreading the day-out he was going to have in about an hour's time with Michael.
Last night, the archangel spoke to the fallen, stating that another visit to the temple would be good to gain better favour of the sisters and priestesses yet it'll also be a good 'chance' for the fallen to try and establish a connection to the past Light Spirits.
Gamer sighed, turning off his phone for a moment before burying his head into his legs.
He doesn't want to go, especially not after what happened last time and that was only just a few days ago. The sisters and priestesses were yelled at by Mangle, High Priestess Candace and Michael during the visit, and whilst the group was leaving, Candace gave all of the temple women a long and harsh lecture, mostly for being so disrespectful towards Gamer himself. He felt like the whole thing was his fault though- he didn't even try to defend himself.
Gamer lifted his head back up as he turned his phone back on, scrolling through social media posts again, mostly of his classmates back in Rieannie. Soon he stopped on a post he put up a few days ago, a photo of him holding the middle finger up to the camera with his smart-ass smirk drawn across his face and his friends in the background either laughing their heads off or flipping off to the camera too, the post's caption reading 'To the Grey Army Leader- I f**king lived, b#tch'... although you could see his obvious tear-streaked face in the photo, you could also see that he didn't care. Looking closer at his friends, his eyes slightly stopped on the ripper within the photo, seeing that he too was flipping the bird at the camera whilst trying to hold back an outburst of laughter, looking at said scene of the ripper made the fallen smile a little.
"Death~" he hummed "Death-" "Fuck off" the ripper mumbled, face reddening by the second "Hey" the fallen said in a calming voice, gently caressing the other boy's face with both his hands and turning Death's head back to him, meeting with a soft and caring smile on his face "...can I kiss you?" he quietly asked...
Immediately, Gamer's face reddened as he quickly turned off his phone and threw it across the bed away from him in slight panic, eyes widened a little "....fuck".
Dark, Skyler and Akire were out in the back garden of the Lights' House, getting much needed fresh air after being cooped up in the house the last couple of weeks... yet unfortunately to their disliking, a few guard angels stood in the backyard a few feet away from them 'keeping an eye' on them.
"Can't believe Angel and Death get to walk around without guards yet we have half the guard glaring us down like we're being baby-sitted" Akire growled as Dark raised a brow "...I think we have a different definition of 'babysitting'" the inferno demon stated before Skyler chimed in "I don't mind them-" "Sky, no offence but you're the 'pretty little psycho' who would have guards babysitting her whenever her parents go out for the night" Akire stated. "And you don't mind them right now cuz they're letting you happily make flower crowns in peace" the witchdoctor said, pointing at the few flower-crowns the emrone has already made and gently placed on the ground yet Skyler just shrugged her shoulders "Yeah" she agreed before going back to the current crown she was weaving. Akire rolled her eyes before turning her head back to Dark "Do something" she told him as he frowned his brows "...what?" "Tell the angel guard to piss off or something" Akire stated as Dark just narrowed his eyes "I'm betrothed to a lysdon angel-" "A lysdon angel who's a lord heir" the witchdoctor corrected. Dark groaned, holding his head "Doesn't mean I suddenly have power over an entire angel guard- royals and archangels control that shit" he told Akire as she folded her arms "Well that's just fucking shit, why marry a lord heir then?" "Cuz I actually love her" Dark harshly answered the witchdoctor's question. Akire, again, rolled her eyes before muttering "Soft dick" and... Dark cracked it "That's it".
"You sure?" Angel questioned as Seraphina nodded her head.
At the moment, Angel and Seraphina, along with Anti, Leo and Death were sitting in the living room of the Lights' house.
"I had to look back through some books but I'm certain it was the Jade Heartstone from the Thorn Temple the Grey Leader had that day" Seraphina stated, opening and laying out one of the several books she had dug out of the house's library out onto the living room coffee-table. The book's page showed a detailed sketch of a raindrop-shaped jade green stone with several paragraphs of old written writing. "But it had a gold necklace casing on it-" "Meaning that he's taken it from the Jade Starling" Angel cut Leo off "The starling's forced to summon their heartstone then Grey Leader takes it for himself, explaining how him and part of his army got in and out of Heaven" the reaper explained. "...so what now?" Anti questioned "Get the fucking stone off the crazy shit" Death stated, pulling out his phone to check the time whilst Seraphina shook her head. "It's not that easy- starling heartstones act like mega-batteries for other celestials, get close to him and you're dead" the lysdon stated "And don't forget the fucking deadmen squad he's put together" Angel added as Anti winced a bit "I'm still a little off after seeing Sky lose her cool with Jorah" the betraka stated as Leo nodded his head, the other three silently agreeing. "I'm gonna go check on Gamer" Death said, getting up and walking out of the room before the others heard yelling and breaking pottery come from the backyard.... which immediately resulted in Seraphina jumping out of her seat and bolting out of the room yelling at the three demons outside whilst Angel jumped over the couch, quickly following after her.
Gamer stared at his phone whilst hugging his legs close to his chest.
His hands curled around the fallen's hips, holding him close... bodies pushed up and held close together, heavy breaths exchanged with a shared sweet bubbly taste staining the tips of tongues and lips...
The fallen re-buried his head back into his legs.
His fingers crawled up beneath the back of Death's shirt a bit as the ripper's hands wondered, one now already beneath the fallen's shirt and half up his back as the other haunted the very edge of the back of his jeans waistband-
Gamer flinched as someone knocked on the door "Wh-who is it?" Gamer called out before the door opened a little and Death's head popped into the room "Hey- it's just me" the ripper stated, stepping into the room as the fallen let out a shaky breath "You alright?" "Just- lock the door" Gamer asked quietly as Death raised a brow. The ripper slowly locked the door like asked before making his way over to the fallen, sitting down at the end of the bed whilst the fallen himself stayed seated at the other end "....Game, is everything alright?" Death asked, brows drawn in slight worry as Gamer kept his eyes away from the ripper. "Just... all this divine crap is getting a little too much" the fallen quietly stated as Death nodded his head a bit "Yeah- it would be" he agreed "Prophecy crap, immortality, being the beacon of hope and peace, spiritual crap-" "Pffft, okay stop" Gamer laughed a bit, covering up the fact that he was actually... scared.
Being the 'Light Spirit' meant that everyone relies on you to uphold and spread the peace and hope that you're supposed to apparently 'radiate'. Being treated like an absolute divine and being worshiped- the thought of it just made the fallen sick inside, as if he was about to puke up more than butterflies.
"But seriously-" "Death, all I want right now is a distraction to help me forget reality exists for a moment" Gamer cut the ripper off yet his comment making the ripper a little more concerned "Alright... what type of distraction?" Death asked.
"Is that a yes-" "Of course it fucking is" the ripper breathed before reconnecting their lips, somewhat pushing the fallen up against the rock a bit-
Gamer immediately buried his head back into his legs and arms, harshly muttering "Why the fuck did that come to mind first?", Death faintly hearing the muffled sentence "Gamer, what is it?" the ripper asked yet got a shaking head as a response "I can't help you if you don't tell me what it is-" "Why did you push me away?" a quiet voice cut off the ripper. Death was confused by the sudden question "What are you talking about?" he questioned "....the afterparty" Gamer quietly answered, not daring to lift his head to face the ripper as Death's brows frowned a little more from confusion of what the fallen was on about.
He pulled away Gamer, the two boys heavily breathing as the ripper also stepped away from him, creating at least some sort of distance between them so he couldn't be tempted to keep going... wherever this was gonna go. "We..." he breathed, watching Gamer cover his mouth a bit and look away from him "Right..." he quietly said "Sorry" the fallen quickly walked away, not daring to look him in the eyes as the ripper watched him go...
Death slightly froze a bit 'That's... what he...' he lowered his head a little, his own thoughts rushing through his head as he somewhat struggled to speak "I thought..." the ripper sighed "I overthought the whole thing- it felt both real and a dream... I guess... I did it to kind of protect myself" he admitted as now the fallen lifted his head. "Protect you?... from what?" Gamer hesitantly questioned yet now the ripper refused to look up at him "Look- I've been in love before and he... it didn't end well, mostly because I wasn't there to protect them" Death tried to explain "It hurt me so much, I turned into some monster and- I've had bad experience with this stuff before... I'm just afraid that I'll become that cruel monster again" the ripper admitted. Finally, Death looked up at Gamer "...I don't want to hurt you-" "Death" the fallen cut him off "You'd have to be an idiot to think that you can hurt me" the fallen slightly joked, making the ripper laugh a little.
"I'm a divine spirit- immortal, remember?" Gamer said with a small smile "Raised within the angel guard itself, I can handle it... and you're not a monster, an idiot maybe but not a 'cruel monster'" the fallen stated as Death smiled a bit "Thanks..." the ripper quietly said. A few seconds of silence fell upon the two, both feeling that nagging instinct scream at them before Death dared to speak "So that distraction you want... and that question- was that hinting-" "Maybe" the fallen kind of answered too quickly as Death held back a slight laugh.
"You sure you want to... um... continue where we left off?" the ripper hesitantly questioned as the fallen shyly nodded his head "Okay" Death breathed before hesitantly shifting closer to his friend, Gamer did the same until the two of them sat close in front of each other, foreheads resting against each other, noses touching, both could feel the other's light breath on their lips. Death gently held Gamer's right hand as the fallen's left hand lifted up to the demon's face, fingers slowly running along the edge of the light metal plate around Death's red robotic eye before Gamer gently caressed the demon's face. Death leaned a little closer to the fallen, his own lips just grazing Gamer's yet the fallen hesitantly moved away a bit, still as close as he was to the demon, head still rested against his friend's. After a few seconds, the fallen attempted to move a little closer to the demon and in immediate response, Death picked Gamer up a bit and gently moved the fallen closer to him, so that the fallen ended up sitting on the ripper's lap, this making Gamer appear about an inch taller than Death. The fallen caressed the ripper's face with both his hands whilst Death's hands rested on the fallen's back, gaze fixed on Gamer's lips "Game-" the fallen kissed Death, interrupting him. One of Gamer's hands was tangled in Death's crimson hair, the other hung loosely over Death's shoulder as the ripper's arms gently snaked around the fallen's waist, holding him close whilst they kissed. Marked with a few good minutes, Gamer broke the kiss before reaching down to the hem of his shirt and slowly took it off, revealing all the scars that currently marked his torso before looking back at Death who hesitantly followed the lead, also taking off his shirt and throwing it to the side. Death reconnected their lips, deepening the kiss instantly. The fallen slightly gasped a bit as the ripper wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him even closer. Gamer's hands blindly ran up the ripper's chest, soon finding the back of the ripper's neck and head again as Death's hands travelled up and down the fallen's back, soon one of the ripper's hands moved down the fallen's side, hip and stopping mid-thigh before gently holding it as Death gently laid the fallen down on the bed as he leaned over him.
Bodies pushed and held close together, each other's scents and tastes rotting their senses... yet all put to an immediate stop as they heard a knock on the door "Gamer, we're leaving for the Light Temple now" Michael's voice stated from behind the thankfully locked door. Gamer himself seemed very un-impressed whilst Death felt completely awkward, the ripper moved away from the fallen, letting Gamer sit back up properly. Gamer picked up his shirt as he got off the bed "Why does that always fucking happen?" Gamer quietly muttered as he put his shirt on "Gamer-" "Yeah, I'm coming!" the fallen called out before stopping and turning on his heel, rushing back over to the ripper and caressing his face as he kissed him and in response, Death kissed back whilst pulling the fallen close, arms wrapping back around the fallen's waist. "Gamer!" Michael yelled out from behind the door, clearly losing all patience and obviously annoyed as Death pulled away from the fallen "You have to go" he stated with a heavy breath "I don't want to leave tho-" "I know" Death said, slightly cutting off Gamer "I'm sorry-" "It's okay, go" the ripper said, letting go of the fallen before watching him rushed out of the room whilst grabbing a pair of shoes and his phone. Death sighed, leaning over and picking up shirt own shirt and putting it back on.
