Levy had been walking for days when he saw a figure in the distance. As he got closer, he realized that it was another person. He approached cautiously, his hand on the handle of the knife that he carried in his backpack.
"Hello," the stranger said as Levy drew near. "I'm Emily. What's your name?"
"Levy," he replied, still wary.
"I haven't seen another person in days," Emily said, her eyes scanning him up and down. "Where are you headed?"
"I'm not sure," Levy replied. "Just trying to survive, I guess."
Emily nodded. "Me too. I've heard there's a community of survivors called New Hope. I'm trying to find it."
Levy's heart skipped a beat. "Me too," he said. "Do you know where it is?"
Emily shook her head. "No, but I'm hoping we can find it together."
Levy and Emily had been walking for days when they came across a deer in the woods. They had been surviving on canned goods and dried fruit, so the sight of fresh meat was too much to resist. Levy took out his hunting knife and prepared to go after the animal.
As he approached, the deer bolted. Levy gave chase, adrenaline pumping through his veins. He was determined to catch the deer, no matter what. As he ran, he thought about how much he had lost since the beginning of the end. His family, his home, his life. But he was still alive, and he was determined to keep fighting.
