(Continued....)
Angel quickly went into her goddess form as she stepped in between Akire and Dark "The hell's going on?" the reaper harshly questioned the two yet neither demon spoke, just glared at the other "Somebody fucking say something" Angel growled "She was rudely questioning mine and Sera's relationship-" "She's my friend and roommate, I'm allowed to care about her- especially if she's dating a fucking inferno demon" Akire snapped. "Better than a scamming witchdoctor-" "'Scamming witchdo- you want to see what a fucking can do-" "Right" Angel summoned her scythe, holding it up at Akire as Seraphina summoned her spear and held it up at Dark whilst Leo and Anti stood watching by the back door and Skyler still sat in her seat, still happily making flower crowns. "Sera-" "Of all times to act like a jealous teenager, you choose now? in my parents' backyard?" Seraphina questioned Dark whilst also cutting him off and immediately, his face softened and filled with guilt "Sorry" "You're really lucky my parents aren't home right now" the lysdon angel told him. "You cool?" Angel questioned Akire as the witchdoctor nodded her head "Yeah... sorry" "For christ's sake- we're in Heaven" Angel harshly reminded the two demons who'd snapped whilst her and Seraphina unsummoned their weapons. "Best behaviour or else" the reaper threatened as both Dark and Akire nodded their heads.
11am
Gamer and Michael, along with Mangle (who came along only to make sure none of the sisters or priestesses spoke out of line again like last week), walked through the corridors of the Light Temple, following closely behind High Priestess Candace as she soon lead them down stairs and down a couple more corridors before stopping in front of a massive heavy stone door.
"The Divine's Chamber" Candace stated, turning back to the other three "Only the Light Spirit may enter the chamber" she stated "Right..." Gamer mumbled, nervousness crawling up his throat as Michael placed a hand on the fallen's shoulder "It'll be alright" the archangel assured him yet it didn't exactly convince the fallen whatsoever. Michael removed his hand before turning his head back to Candace "Whilst he's inside, there's some things I'd like to discuss with you" "Of course, archangel" Candace nodded her head before leading Michael back down the corridor. Mangle turned to Gamer with a small smile "What if they don't like me?" the fallen asked Mangle "They're your past lives... they'll love you" the angel assured him before giving him a quick small hug, then walked back down the corridor and once disappearing around the corner and into another corridor, Gamer turned his head back up at the door to the chamber, worry and nervousness drawn over his face.
Once back upstairs, Michael and Candace headed into a small study, the priestess closing the door behind herself before turning her head to the archangel "Gamer Shadow?" she questioned, slightly struggling to keep herself calm "He is the next Light Spirit?" she questioned again as Michael closed his eyes "It's Aurea's word-" "And be thankful I believe and trust in Aurea's word, but why him? why Gamer of all people?" Candace questioned. "I don't know...." Michael answered "Maybe because..... he's a lot like Elettra?" he suggested as the priestess folded her arms "Like Elettra? tiny, blonde, blue eyed, pale skin-" "I meant his heart" the archangel interrupted "His heart?" Candace repeated his words, her eyes narrowing a little. "He is an angel who has love for Hell, just like Elettra did-" "Elettra Lights was in love with a demon-" "And Gamer might be too" Michael slightly snapped before freezing, realising the words that just slipped from his mouth whilst Candace stared back at him wide-eyed "....don't tell me that him and the ripper demon-" "Maybe, I don't know" Michael answered. "Michael- 'love' is what blinded Elettra and kept her from her duties-" "And it was us that killed her partner which sent her on a path to kill herself!" the archangel reminded the priestess "But this- Gamer's prophecy states that as the Light Spirit, he'll help unite Heaven and Hell with his partnered love-" "Burning sun, starry moon- I know" Candace cut the archangel off. "But he hasn't been trained, Michael, mostly because you didn't want him to be hurt or treated like Aurea had been" the priestess stated "He's now a celestial teenager whose angel powers are explosive due to the lack of control training-" "And he'll receive the proper training, but only from those who care about him like actual family" Michael firmly stated. "Both me and Eliora Lights have been trying to make a decent plan for him, including who should train him" the archangel told Candace, taking a moment to think before telling her a new set of news "We've also talked to the royals, especially Queen Ianthe, and... this year's 'Heavenly Light Festival' will be moved two months ahead, being held instead in two weeks time". Candace's brows frowned as he continued "The Light will be announced and revealed to all magical realms, the sooner the better-" "Months of planning, expected to be completed in the span of two weeks?" the priestess questioned as Michael sighed "He still has school-" "And we still have traditions" Candace cut him off. "...I'm trying to be the brother he deserved a long time ago" the archangel told the priestess the reasoning of the event moving and upon hearing that, Candace's face softened a little "I owe him a lifetime of undoing every sliver of horridness I've done" the archangel stated. A moment of silence passed over the two before Candace decided to speak once again "Fine" she agreed "But this is the first and last time I'm agreeing to date-switching events that hold great deal to the temple" she stated as the archangel sighed in relief "Deal" he said.
Mangle stood on the balcony of the temple's second floor, looking down at the training field and back towards the city, Lykros, as a priestess slowly made her way over to the angel. "Long time no see, Stitch" Mangle's head immediately shot up and turned to see the long coffee-brown haired and ruby red eyed girl who help stand up for Gamer during their last visit to the temple "Phoebe!" the angel exclaimed, smashing the old priestess-friend with a hug "Where's Delilah?" Mangle asked, stepping back and letting go of the priestess "Assisting Mother Zoraida and her new apprentice at another temple" Phoebe answered. Mangle raised a brow, pulling a slightly confused face "Mother Zoraida has an apprentice?" she questioned as Phoebe nodded her head "Yeah- Sahara Klein, Zoraida's great great great grandchild" Phoebe stated "Sahara came into her seer powers May last year so Mother Zoraida decided to teach and pass along her title as 'Mother of the temple' to Sahara once she's properly trained and old enough" she explained. "Wow... I didn't even know" Mangle said "I guess you're really busy back in Mid, huh?" Phoebe joked a bit but the creation angel couldn't help but feel a little guilty "And I see someone's finally accepted what they are, Goddess Mangle" Phoebe smirked as Mangle shyly smiled in response "Yeah, I... didn't exactly have a choice" she quietly mumbled.
Gamer hesitantly stepped into the chamber, and as doing so... the door closed right behind him. What he knew to be a white tiled room and stained glass immediately went pitch black. He couldn't see anything yet once stepping further into the darkened chamber, a girl appeared, her entire body shinning a bright white as her eyes glowed a beautiful sky blue.
Gamer immediately recognised her from a dream.
"Elettra" "Gamer!" she brightly smiled, running over and somehow hugging the fallen with her ghostly arms and after a couple good minutes, she finally let the poor fallen go "You're not in your divine form?" she questioned as Gamer lowered his head a bit "I only successfully did that once" he said as Elettra laughed a little. "Our dear Starlight, cutest and most adorable spirit yet" the ghostly girl joked as Gamer lifted his head back up to Elettra "I'm starting to get that crap too often" Gamer muttered "Nice pick in the 'boy-department' by the way- the ripper is really cute" she smirked and immediately, Gamer's face reddened a bit "H-how do you know about-" "When you're a constant reincarnation of a powerful divine, your past lives are kind of 'always with you'" Elettra explained as the fallen's face reddened even more. "Can you guys not do that?" Gamer asked, slightly pissed off from the invasion of privacy "Our memories are yours, our powers are yours, we are you" Elettra stated, pointing at me "The line of the Light Spirit passes through one blood only, chosen at random but by fate due to the mind and heart you possess" she explained in her own.... 'riddle-ish' way "Never once has the line successfully moved on to the descendant's child" she stated. 'Come to think of it... out of all the Light Spirits in the past, only Elettra had a kid' Gamer thought to him before speaking "But your daughter-" "Was only half lysdon and half creation angel, and became the first 'Lord' of the Light Family" Elettra stated as the ghostly appearances of four other women appeared, somewhat circling the room... and Gamer found himself able to name each one.
All stood in order.
The first stood as complete glittery burns of golds and browns of a sun-lit fire, Sunneva Lights. The second was pitch black with splashes of blue, purple, green and pinks swirling within her body, making her seem as though a walking glimmering galaxy, Celena Crescent. The third stood as gold with green and white firework-sparkling patterns danced within her, Misae Arayn-Lights. And the last stood with her body reflecting a darkened yet beautiful sunrise, a small fullmoon setted in place of her heart, Aurea Sunne.
All stood silent, unresponsive and with their eyes closed.
"All killed without baring a child, lives ended too early... their duties unfulfilled" Elettra stated, looking around at the four who now stood silent before her eyes landed back on Gamer "But you are now here to finish it all, including reuniting the celestial realms... you play such a big role in that prophecy" she continued as the fallen's brows frowned in confusion. "How?" he asked "Far in the future, a son and daughter of both celestial realms will become the next rulers, and there will be three marriages; Hell to human, Heaven to Mid, and Light to Darkness" Elettra stated as Gamer's eyes widened a little.
"In your story, you are 'Light'... you can't have the dark without the light" Lucia told Gamer as he raised a brow "What do you mean 'my story'?" he asked and the starling answered. "Light and Darkness, the story of forgotten love of an angel and a demon" "Woah- wait... the story on the tribe cave walls in both Ridgeton and Riverside? that's my story?" he questioned, starting to panic a bit....
Gamer shook his head "No- it can't be right... I can't-" "The far future is a good amount of time away" Elettra told him "Your story may speak of the ripper or possibly someone else, feelings may change or become clearer, but in the end... the story is your prophecy played out" she said as the fallen slowly felt the nerves and panic clog up his throat. "Starlight, you weren't reborn just for this... your love and hope is to be more stronger and powerful than all us past divine's combined" Elettra stated "If you follow that story or not, no one will judge- all of us will understand" she assured him. "It's not just the story-prophecy thing..." Gamer admitted, closing his eyes as his head hung low "...I don't know if I love him or not" he said as Elettra tilted her head a little "The idea of being with him?" "That's the thing- I really don't" he answered "Like- hanging out and having fun, I just see him as my best friend, but... all this new crap, the deal... it's just too confusing now-" "Hey, it's okay" Elettra gently held the fallen's shoulders. "This stuff is supposed to be confusing... for heaven's sake- I fell in love with a stowaway demon at the very wrong time" she laughed, making Gamer smile a bit "Trust me, Starlight... you'll fall in love with the right person who'll make you very happy, who will mean more than the entire world to you" Elettra told him.
"Why do you keep using that old nickname?" he questioned "That's your divine name" she simply answered "Aurea's is 'Morning Moon', Misae is 'Sun Spark', Celena is 'Moon Dancer', Sunnerva is 'Sun Lighter' and I'm 'Light'" Elettra stated, pointing to each ghostly past before gesturing to herself "But that isn't important, what's important now is that you fulfil the duties of your naming prophecy" she reminded the fallen. Elettra gestured to the others who stood around the two in silence "The others will speak with you soon" she then placed her hand above Gamer's heart "The connection has been made and will remain, both bound and strong" Elettra stated before her and the others faded to smoke.
The lanterns handing around the chamber re-lit themselves, lighting up the large room to reveal the whitened tiles and the stained glass flooring depicting a diamonded star.Gamer stood in the now lonely silence.
Expectations set in stone.... expectations he doubts he'll live up to.
