What does world domination mean to you?
Depends.
If it meant keeping that grade in math class, you might be down to do a whole lot of conquering.
That is my motto right now.
Keep that math grade at a solid step up from an F.
Even if I have to dominate the world.
If my mom said I would stay that way for life, I would tell her 'well how short is that life going to be'. Maybe, she would have laughed- Oh, so am I kidding? Maybe, she would have given me a hug and tell me 'don't ever change, sweetheart. I love you the way you are.'
And if I felt like I have never changed, I would be happy.
And if I turned around and gotten a tattoo on my arm (or finger, if I am feeling bold) she would have told me to go fuck myself.
That is the kind of mom I have when no one is looking.
If the world was ending, would I pick up a coin just to play one more arcade game?
No.
"Just one more game, Vanessa. Just one more." Vanessa's little brother begged.
Vanessa subtly looked at her mom. She mouthed to her "mommm". Vanessa's mom could not possibly expect her to spend one more moment with her little brother. After all, she had already spent the entirety of the day with her family.
Vanessa turned to her dad. "Dad, you are at a mall. You know people actually come to the mall to shop or watch movies, not to watch their little brother play the lamest game in the world."
And it was the lamest game in the world. Literally, it was called the lamest game in the world.
"Okay, Vanessa. You have your own credit card. You should go shopping for some more leggings. Be back in an hour."
Too excited for sound to leave her mouth, she mouthed the words 'thank you, i will never forget this' to her dad, gave a disrespectful-if-not-your-daughter glance to her mom and left the arcade section of the mall.
After an hour of looking around the mall, she had successfully bought 0 pairs of leggings and attended a meet and greet for a new up-and-coming rock and roll band.
After hearing a whole lot of beautifully disguised sales pitch, she had decided that the only thing in the world worth anything was going to their next concert in the city. And so had he.
Both parents had allowed them to shop on their own, which worked way too well for the band's company if two ticket sales had mattered to the profit all that much. However, who knows? Maybe, they would become fans for life. FFL. Don't bro me. It happens naturally.
On Darren's way back to where his family had told him they were, he spotted an elegant looking fountain and had to post it, but what would he post about it? It could not look as if he was that desperate to make his whole life instagram worthy. I mean, what small-time fame would be achieved by doing so?
Wait. Darren has like a million quarters in my pocket. Darren could oh but flip a coin.
Darren bought out his fairly new phone and posted a boomerang. "I want someone to go to a rock and roll concert with" He whispered, not realising how much he wanted it until the words had started to leave his mouth.
Would you come over to pick up a coin?
Yes, I would. I just did it before I realised to.
