A cold hand was pressing harshly against Savannah's small head, and with great effort pushing the reluctant Savannah into the cold bath water.

"Who are healed by my hands," 

Her nose was assaulted by cold water, and her vision had begun to turn blurry from being pressed into the water for far too long, far too many times. Her head shook restlessly in an attempt to fight the woman that was pushing her into the water.

"Blessed are the tainted,"

'Help!' Savannah's yell turned into incoherent mumbles in the water. Little bubbles ran from her nose, and her black eyes had shot widely in the chilling water.

"Who are cleansed by my hands,"

'No, no, please!' Her most infamous words escaped her mouth, turning into little bubbles in the water. Her heart was racing unbelievably fast, her skin chilled like a corpse, and her eyes had shot so wide it threatened to bulge out of their sockets. 

Her fingers trembled, painful twinges of pain tingle all over her spine. The water began to turn chiller than before, and to Savannah's mortification a red liquid spilled from the drain of the bathtub, the blood-like liquid tainting the cold water red.

An image flashed in the water before Savannah's body finally gave in and she passed out.

Feather-like black lashes fluttered opening, revealing a pair of dark black eyes that stared at the blueish white wall in front of her.

Her lips involuntarily morphed into a slight pout, as her brain tried to recount the events that lead up to here. The black-blue chair she was seated comfortably at.

As her eyes took in her cozy environment she realized where she was. She was at her, currently seated in a sprawled position in the black-blue chair Timothy had gotten her for their one year anniversary.

Her fingers curled on the arm of the chair, pushing herself off from the chair, forcefully finding the energy to do. Hm… Shoulders hurt, she touched her stomach and winced a bit, it hurt a lot, but certainly not as much as it when….

When…? Yes, she was outside just now right? Yes, some thugs apprehended her on her way back home. It was not too long ago that she had been fighting out of the grip of the thin m–

Her eyes froze on her polkadot alarm that read– 3:00 am. AM? That wasn't right, it should have been around 10:34 that she stalked the streets. How did….?

That's right, there was something else that happened as she was apprehended. 

Her eyes widened. "No, no, plea-" another punch from the thin man cut her off.

She was begging, begging not to be molested. Then… then something strange happened. The memory was somewhat blurred in her mind, back then exhaustion and fear had sent her mind on high drive to remember much. What actually happened?

There was a man, right a man, a man with something like silver eyes. The man had suddenly appeared behind her.

Platinum eyes looked down at her black ones. She heard a cold monstrously deep voice say, "Rest, Shepherd,"

So strange. The voice was terrifyingly deep but she remembered it being so lulling, it sent her right to sleep like a sweet lullaby.

Savannah shook her head. That couldn't have been right, what kind of memory was this? But if that wasn't right what happened then?

Savannah shook her head again. "Ridiculous." She muttered, dragging her body to the bathroom.

She wanted to ponder more on what had to be the most horrific night of her life but her brain was too slow at the moment and her pained body was even slower.

Her dirty clothes slipped right from her body. Savannah was still so distant that she did not even see the huge patch of blood splattered on the back of her shirt.

She took her hot shower, walked out of the bathroom ignoring the clothes on the bathroom ground, and headed straight to the room.

She put on the baggy clothes she usually wore to sleep, and dropped on her bed. Sleep filled her mind even though she just woke from one but her head was a whirlwind of thoughts.

"Your heart will taste delicious, Shepherd," the woman spoke, eyes piercing into Savannah's.

Shepherd. Of course while she was assaulted she naturally did not think much of the words spoken to her but….

She heard a cold monstrously deep voice say, "Rest, Shepherd,"

Shepherd. The word she was too familiar with. With her hands on the bed she managed to push herself off the, her stomach knotting in pain when reached her hands underneath her bed.

Her eyes were on the wall whilst her hands pulled a bag from underneath her bed, missing the chance to brush the dead body seeping blood from the mouth as she did.

She cluelessly pulled out the black bag from underneath her bed. She unzipped the bag and pulled out a big black book from inside, then threw the bag on the floor, missing the opportunity to see the wet patch on the back of the bag.

On the surface of the book was written on a white tape plastered on the book– Eilder Granger.

Savannah sighed before opening the book. She swiped a few pages of the book, then stopped at a section.

Devil child, was what headlined the page. Savannah's eyes skimmed on the words in the book. 

A Shepherd, he finally told me what it means, Shepherd. He said the Shepherd was to lead the Nightmare Alpha to pastures and water to protect them from the wilderness of unpredictability and to guard them at night, whether in the Nightmare Alpha's glory or their Hell. The Nightmare Alpha cannot survive without the Shepherd, for the Shepherd is the ultimate muse…. The ultimate GUARDIAN.

He said a Shepherd is symbolic for something divine, but when she looks at me with those devil eyes I do not see anything divine in them…. I see he-

Savannah slammed the book shut, dust departing from the book as she did. Her chest rose and fell as she stared at the book.

Aunt Eilder had lost her mind before she died, Savannah thought. "Stupid," she breathed out, shoving the hook back into the back bag and throwing the book back underneath her bed.

"This is so stupid," Savannah muttered, resting her head on her bed, her head directed at her large standing mirror.

This was one of the few things that belonged to her parents that she could retrieve after Aunt Eilder died. Eilder never let her near that mirror, Savannah remembered how panicked Eilder would be anytime Savannah neared the mirror.

Savannah always wondered why her Aunt never destroyed the mirror if she hated Savannah nearing the mirror so much.

Savannah breathed out. "A pretty mirror," She spoke to herself, her eyes lowering into sleep.

As those eyelids began resting down the illusionary figure of a black fur covered clawed finger tracing on her face flashed before her half-closed eyes. Her heart skipped a beat but her eyelids had no intention of going back up, just lower, and lower, until it was just darkness.

"Goodnight darling," A monstrous voice "whispered" into her ear, hot breath fanning the skin near her ear.
