Tigerleaf hissed threateningly as Leafstar rose, glaring at Crystalpool.
"Crystalpool," he growled. "I sent you to look for my son, not to interact with Mossclan warriors." Crystalpool raised her front paws innocently.
"I was looking for Starpaw! Then this disgusting Mossclan warrior turned up out of nowhere and demanded to know what I was doing." She flicked her tail and bowed her head. "I swear by Glimmerclan that that is the truth." Leafstar nodded.
"Fine," he said, turning to Tigerleaf. "If you see my son, inform me at the next gathering." He turned his back and ordered Crystalpool to go back to camp. She glanced at him once more before turning away. Tigerleaf turned back to Hailpaw, who was looking at him, his blue eyes shining.
"Is that Leafstar?" he asked. Tigerleaf nodded. "And you didn't see him?" Tigerleaf sighed and turned back towards the camp.
"Not everyone's eyesight is perfect. Whether your a warrior or an apprentice and elder or a kit." Hailpaw shrugged and yawned.
"Let's go tell Mosstar about Crystalpool and Leafstar." Tigerleaf flicked his tail at the camp and led Hailpaw back.
"Greystar!" Hailpaw cried. "Greystar!" Tigerleaf turned toward the nursery, where Mosstar was exiting.
"Yes, Hailpaw?" he asked.
"We found Leafstar and his deputy inside our border."
