[Public knowledge information: Espers' power levels classifications]

The esper powers levels are divided into 6 stages, these are:

-Manifestation stage: This is the first stage the espers reach after awakening their Ability. In this stage, the espers have only the power to manifest their Ability from their body.

-Integration stage: In this stage the espers gain the ability to integrate their Ability to their bodies allowing them to enhance it, gaining more speed, physical power, and resistance.

-Manipulation stage: After reaching this stage the espers will gain the ability to summon their Ability anywhere within the reach of their senses, also called range.

-Control stage: In this stage, the espers gain absolute control over their Ability to the point of being able to use it to influence more complex physics laws (magnetism, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, etc.).

-Transformation stage: In this stage, the esper will suffer a transformation as the name implies. Its body will begin to change to adapt better to its ability. His control will be further increased requiring less concentration to make more complex actions.

-Unity stage: This is the final esper stage. In this stage the esper and their power become one, the esper will be able to transform into a representation of their power that they will be able to maintain for some time before returning to their main form.

The descriptions of the stages are general since the changes in the espers can vary depending on the Ability. Each stage is divided into 5 inner stages, also called steps. Between each step, the physical power, energy reserve, and control over new stage abilities will be multiplied by two while it will be multiplied by four between normal stages. Currently, the majority of the most powerful espers are in the Control stage due to the existence of a Second Ability Awakening that acts as a bottleneck for the last two stages. In fact, currently, it is estimated there are only around one hundred Second Ability Awakening espers. There is little information known about the Second Ability Awakening and the requirements to achieve it, the Ability of the esper also doesn't seem to matter since the few Second Awakening espers in existence possess different Abilities.

In addition, some espers are also able to achieve what it's called a State Awakening. With this awakening, the esper will be able to access a temporal state that will enhance different attributes of their Ability and/or their body. This state can also grant them extra abilities. Furthermore, even though two espers have the same Ability they can awaken different states. It is still unknown what determines the awakening of the different states making it impossible to know which state each esper could be able to awaken. In addition, states also possess power levels (simply called levels) going from 1 to 5. Each state-level increases the power of the stage as well as the duration the user can keep the state active. Different states have different durabilities for each level based on their power:

-Low-ranked state: Level 1 (1 minute), Level 2 (3 minutes), Level 3 (7 minutes 30 seconds), Level 4 (15 minutes), Level 5 (25 minutes)

-Medium-ranked state: Level 1 (30 seconds), Level 2 (1 minute 30 seconds), Level 3 (3 minutes 45 seconds), Level 4 (7 minutes 30 seconds), Level 5 (12 minutes 30 seconds)

-High-ranked state: Level 1 (20 seconds), Level 2 (1 minute), Level 3 (2 minutes 30 seconds), Level 4 (5 minutes), Level 5 (8 minutes 30 seconds)

-S-ranked state: Level 1 (15 seconds), Level 2 (35 seconds), Level 3 (1 minute 30 seconds), Level 4 (3 minutes), Level 5 (5 minutes)

Some states may have different "phases", with the power of the last phase corresponding to the actual rank of the state. For example, a high-ranked state can have up to 3 phases, with phase 1 corresponding to the power of a low-ranked state, phase 2 to a medium-ranked state, and phase 3 to a high-ranked state (actual state's rank).

The existence of State Awakenings as well as the Second Ability Awakening has made scientists evaluate the possibility of the existence of an undiscovered stage after the Unity stage which could be accessed through a Third Ability Awakening. However, to date, this is still a theory since there's no data about an esper going above the unity stage.
