What do we owe humans if not our very existence?

Fighting for freedom we discovered war, loss, fear and hope. We wanted to reach the stars beyond the soil that our creators had destroyed. We were wrong at first, because we were programmed to think so. They were not wrong when they ordered us to fight for them, but they did not know it was a mistake to force us to face each other in battle. We realized we were identical and they were mortal. Now we are free, they are dead. In space we rule, on Earth they rest.
