Baum was often inconsistent with canon, so the crooked wizard is called Dr. Nikidik in Marvelous Land of Oz, and Dr. Pipt in Patchwork Girl of Oz. I've decided to go with Pipt since he has a more developed backstory.
I wonder what keeps the powder shaker from coming to life...
Some non-stick coating on the inside, maybe?
