Maybe *he* was the one who let the 2nd last victim go? He found out his seemingly normal boyfriend had some guy tied up in his basement (or something) and was horrified, tried to free him, but got caught... Blindsided by his seeming betrayal, he hunts down the escapee and then kills the boyfriend. But when his head clears, he is heartbroken that he snuffed out the only light in his life… Thats the theory that’s been rattling around in my head for a while
Hans Buell is in prison being interviewed by two detectives who are interested in his psychology.
Being curious about the events that took place the night he turned himself in to the police, they ask Hans to describe his relationship with Lukas Sinclair, his lover and last victim that night.
Although Hans will narrate his relationship from beginning to end to both detectives, he might not reveal what really happened that night.
