In the first panel, it was originally going to be Tim (blue mask), but after I drew the pose while sketching, I decided to have Jim (red mask) instead, as if he's backing away from Dracmore.
I should thank my past self for explicitly writing Dracmore's exact pose for panel 2 a few years ago in the script. I'm not sure why but I enjoyed drawing it. And yes my scripts are THAT old, but I made sure to review it before even starting on any pages for this chapter.
Speaking of reviewing scripts, originally Dracmore was going to command Batuu to attack in panel 6. But I had developed a character for Dracmore since writing it, so I just had Batuu attack on his own, since he would do that anyway.
I'm not sure why I drew panel 5 like that, but I'm glad I did. I feel it kinda makes the mood change quickly. Which could be bad or good sometimes. I'll let you decide which it is in this case.
I discovered the canvas acrylic brush in painttools sai and decided to try it out for the Japanese onomatopoeia. ヴヴヴreads as "vuvuvu" and ツウウウ reads as "TSUUUU". Both of which I had made up at random. There's nothing official about the meaning as far as I know.
In a world called Fugaia, there are many people with special powers. Lubo is a 13-year old wolf who discovers that he has his own powers. He decides to use his powers to protect his town and stop Dracmore, an evil vampire bat.
