I went to The Sweet temptation a couple more times. Every time, either it was already closed after I left work late or Cris wasn't there in the morning. Later on, they explained by text that they didn't work the morning shift, only sometimes.
Cris and I were texting more often, so I had to explain some internet lingo to them, since my 'BRBs' and 'TTYLs' confused them. I shouldn't be texting them during work, though.
In return, Cris explained more about BDSM. It was hard to ask, but my curiosity was bigger than my shame. I asked them about the video of the girl. Cris said they've never seen it either.
But there was still something weighting in my mind. I got into the office. Lisa was answering a call; she pointed to a stack of documents she had separated for me to look at. 'would I be able to fire her?'
Mildred was painting her nails while talking to a client on the phone. She's been here before I was even born, probably. Sometimes I sit to talk to her, and she tells me stories about her teenage years. The 70s were crazy...
People would say, "you should fire Miles." He has told me several times how he would do my job better than I do it, but I'm choosing to see past that. He's a good salesman. Although his retention rate has been falling lately.
"I don't know, man!" I said out loud, sitting in my chair, 'Can I fire myself, so I don't have to pick?'
On my computer, there were two unread notifications. One from Cris and the other from The Corp. I looked at the one from Corp first, holding my curiosity.
It was a form about 'safety in the workplace', a conference I would need to present with HR.
'I need to print that.' I thought, skimming through the contents.
My eyes were drawn to Cris' E-mail. It was another form. Titled 'Sorting out the kinks' I bit my tongue.
A list of kinks and fetishes. Bondage, pet play, wax play, knife play...? There were some I haven't had the courage to look up yet.
Beside each one there was a number from one to five, and a box to mark if it was a hard limit, which Cris explained it was something that I wouldn't want to try at all, and another box for soft limits, something I might want to try later on, but not right now.
I agreed to go to The Black belt, but we hadn't agreed on making a scene yet, so I was just reading this. No strings attached.
'Bondage is a five for sure.' I checked the box.
It even had subcategory for rope play, needless to say that was a five as well. The rest was getting shoved to soft limits, with a couple of google searches maybe even hard limits.
'I don't want to be spanked!' I thought, feeling my face get warmer.
And that's when I remembered, 'Safety in the workplace!'. I still had to prepare the presentation for the conference. So, I sent the file to the office printer, and was preparing myself to call HR, when I read 'Printing... Sorting out the kinks.'
"Shit!" I ran from my desk to the door and looked at the printer. I've never regretted so much the decision to put it all the way close to the window.
I started to stride to the printer. 'No running in the office.' was one of the pointers in the presentation, so I slowed my pace.
From across the room, the sound of the paper being painted with all of those wild things echoed. The thought that someone could just walk by and pick it up. It was dangerous, but... Exciting?
"What the fuck are you looking at, you weirdo?" Tina was inside Ned's cubicle. "Are you seeing this, boss?"
Ned was into mangá as well as comics, and those can get pretty weird. But Tina teased Ned while I was looking. On his screen there was a spiky-haired man falling on top of a blonde knight. On the next panel, his nose was shoved in her cleavage. That's mangá alright.
'Respect your colleagues' space.' Was another pointer on the presentation. And although there was nothing about looking at drawings of barely clothed knights, I believed it was right to reprimand him.
"Ned, you shouldn't be keeping those in the office's computer."
"But I wasn't! It-"
Lisa walked towards the printer, and I accompanied her pace, ignoring Ned and Tina's debacle.
Her path was shorter than mine, so I started sprinting.
"Hey Abb-" I heard before hitting my head with John's "I'm sorry!" We both said to each other.
"What is it?" I said as he stared at me, getting redder.
"Are you-"
"I'm sorry for putting so much responsibility on you," I interrupted him.
Lisa was already taking the papers from the printer.
"You did a great job, but I need to get to the printer right now." Without paying attention, I went into a B-Line to the papers.
"This is mine!" I shouted picking the papers from Lisa's hand.
"Oh." She looked at me, tilting her head. "Don't you want me to sort through these for you?"
"No, not these ones... I'm going to shred those."
"Oh, okay."
She turned around, about to go back to her desk.
"You didn't happen to read these, did you?" I asked.
"No, I just got them."
"Oh good, cause it's like, super important business stuff, y'know."
"I get it, i get it."
After that pleasant exchange, I went back to my office with my heart pounding. I messaged Cris with what happened and they sent back a "LOL."
