*Kai's POV*

Its been a long time since i dreamed about that day. I thought i had gotten over that day but i guess not.

 It still continues to haunt me I can still feel the fear of being in that dark room, i can still hear the loud thunder that kept rumbling, and i can still feel the stings from getting hit on the back with a belt.

I get up from off my bed and i head into the bathroom next to my room. I look in the mirror and see my eyes and their very puffy from me crying.

I then rinse my face and i take off my clothes and get ready to go take a shower before i have to go to work.

Once im fully naked I turn my back and look in the mirror and i look at all the scars i have on my back. Its been 10 years and their still their.

I feel myself about to cry but i hold back the tears and i turn on the warm water and i jump in the shower.

After my shower i wrap my towel around my waist and i start to brush my teeth after that  i wash my face, and i put on a cream to hide my eyes puffiness.

I leave the bathroom still in my towel i didn't have to worry about Mr.smith seeing my scars because he left early for a meeting. I feel really insecure about my scars so no one really knows about them accept for my dad of course.

I went into my room and i put on black jeans with a green button up and i then tie my hair back it wasn't that long but it was long enough for me to put in a messy ponytail. I put on a Starbucks work hat and then i put my name tag on.

I arrive to work and my boss greets me and i go in the backroom to put my bag away in my locker.

After i did that, i walked into the front room and i put my apron on, and that's when the other employee arrived.

She greeted me happily "Hi kai" she said smiling brightly at me. I nod at her as she walked into the backroom to retrieve her apron and put her purse away.

I wouldn't call her my friend but me and her were acquainted well though so i would say she was one of the only people i talk to. 

Me and my boss aren't really that close. All we do is greet each other, and he would simply pay me so basically a normal boss and coworker relationship.

As i was lost in my thoughts, a tall man with milk chocolate skin with brown eyes and blonde dreads pulled into a ponytail with 2 strands hanging in front of his face with silver earring duds.

He walked up to me. "hello welcome to Starbucks, what can i get you?" i say as put on my business smile.

He looked at me for bit, and i was starting to sweat. Did i say something wrong? Why was he staring at me for so long?

"um sir" i say nervously. "I can feel something brewing between the two of us." I looked at him with a confused look, b..brewing? huh.

He leaned on the counter and started wiggling his eyebrows. Was he flirting with me? "um so are you gonna order something?" i asked with a confused look.

"Exchanging phone numbers sounds like a fair trade, don't you think" he said smiling. Was he mentally ok. I was going to say something but before i could another guy appeared behind him. He was at least 2 inches shorter than the other guy but he was still taller than me.

He had dirty blonde hair with hazeld frappe eyes, he looked pretty fit as well but not like body builder fit though. 

He smiled at me and i felt my face go warm i held my cheeks to stop the warmth on cheeks, and to hide the fact that i was blushing.

Before i could say something to him, he suddenly smacked the guy in the front in the head. "i cant leave you alone for a second, can i zion?" he said, ah so his name is zion. "you cant blame me i haven't hooked up in a week ugh".

Wait what, he wanted to hook up with me im not even gay, or am i? i never really thought about it i never had time to think about dating, because of my...you know.

The guy in the back of zion came to the counter pushing zion out the way and looked at me. "im sorry for my friends behavior. I'm Luke and this is zion by the way." I looked at him why was he introducing himself its not like im gonna see them again.

"um im kai" I said unsure. "nice to meet you kai I don't think I've seen you at school before do you go to a different school or something."  

I looked at him confused "I don't go to school". "WHAT!! you don't go to school. Lucky." zion said budding into the conversation. "Are you home schooled." luke asked pushing zion's face out of his space.

"um something like that. I'm supposed to start school soon for the first time, but Mr. smith hasn't told me when." I reply.

He looked at me confused "Is he your guardian" asked luke. I think back to my time with Mr. smith I guess you could say that but its not like he adopted me.

"urm not really he is just taking care of me until I get enough money to rent a place for myself." I say, while scratching my neck.

"why are you staying with him?" luke asked. I looked at him with a scared look and I looked away. My boss walked into the room where I was. "kai what are you doing? look at the line. Tell your friends to cut the chit chat." "yes sir." I say frightened, where did he even come from. I looked at them with a "go away" look.

And i think they got message because they stopped talking to me and began to order their food. I took everyone's orders and soon enough it was almost the end of my shift.

Luke and zion were still here and I kept wondering why they were still here it was almost 5:00 pm. Did they want something from me?

I heard the bell on the door chime and I saw the employee who was supposed to take over my station so I can leave.

I took of my apron and handed it to the employee and I went in the backroom and got my bag. When I walked out into the front room I saw that luke and zion were gone.

Finally I was worried they were stalking me. I walked out of the Starbucks and I walked home.

I arrived home and Mr.smith was waiting for me. I was concerned to why he was waiting for me, i walked up to him.

He saw me and smiled. I sat down on the couch next to him he looked at me and said, "So you know how im enrolling you in school." I shook my head yes.

he grabbed my hand and told me,"your starting school tomorrow. I know its Sunday and you don't have time to prepare but i wanted to have you in school right away." 

I looked at him in shock and i shook my head ok and walked into my room and i shut the door and slid on the door to the floor.

Was i even ready to do this what if i get bullied. I started breathing really heavily and i kept getting dizzy. I took deep breathes to calm my self down.

I crawled to my bedside table, and opened the drawer and grabbed a pill bottle and i took out 2 pills and swallowed them whole. I don't really know what they do but all i know is it helps me calm down when i have panic attacks and that my dad had these in the bathroom.

I laid in bed feeling very tired and i passed out asleep. I wonder what would've happened if mom hadn't died due to giving birth to me.

*A/N*My poor baby don't worry mamma kory is going to make school a fun experience for you *hopefully😅*. Anyways are you guys enjoying my story so far. You guys got to finally meet the second love interest (luke). Comment how you feel about him. I may or may not make a POV for him next chap but were gonna have to see.
