Kai has been living with his abusive father ever since his mother passed away after giving birth to him and his father blames him for that so he had become very abusive toward kai, and its even worse o his birthday so one day his farther went to far on his 16th birthday and that led to kai's father going to jail and kai ended up living with a CPS worker (Mr.smith).

So this story is mainly kai finding his true happiness basically him finding is spark his person hense the name of the book lol. Kai is gonna meet new people along the way along with the second love interest (luke) so stay tuned if you wanna know more tehe.
