The weekends were relatively boring as I spend time with my guardian Mr Chronos
Doing pretty normal stuff like watching a movie and ordering take outs.
On Monday morning by the time I was dressed in my school uniform, Mr Chronos had already made breakfast "Simon, come eat!" He gestured to the plate of pancakes, eggs and bacon as I walked up to the dining table. "I hope you have everything packed, we won't be back until the end of the school term" he reminded me as we started to dig in
"Yeah, everything's packed." I replied as I'm stuffing my face with food.
"Slow down there kid, you're gonna choke if you keep this up. You can relax and take your time" he said as he raised his hands in a gesture that told me to slow down.
"Sorry, I'm excited to go back and this is the first time in a long time since William is in class again" I said while slowly chewing whatever food in my mouth.
"I see, well it's good to see you excited for something in a while" he sipped his cup of coffee as he finished.
After Breakfast, we packed everything into the car and left for Olympia-Lacey Station.
When we reached the Station, there were a lot of people who were also in school uniform and carrying luggages all ready to go to school like I was.
The station building doors opened revealing a set of stairs that lead underground to the actual station that we were supposed to take the train from.
"I still can't get used to that" I whispered under my breath
You would think that something like that would be so obvious to the common folk but according to what my mentor told me on my first day of magic school a mage will cast a magic barrier over the area to make it look like it's closed so it wouldn't be suspicious to anyone who actually saw I and well….. they won't remember anything about it after 5 mins.
"Hey Simon! You made it. Come! You will be with us in first class" Art came and escort me to the first class cabin
"I'll see you in school sir" I waved goodbye to my Mentor as Art pulled me away
"Stay out of trouble" was the last thing I heard while being dragged away
As we boarded the train William was already on board sitting in a cabin playing games on his phone, "Took you guys long enough, I was getting bored." He put his phone down and looked up.
"Good to see you Bill" I greet him with a small smile
"Well don't just stand there! Take a sit" Art patted my back and pointed to the seats
As we settled down and started to chat about whatever comes to mind while waiting for the train to start moving, a young muscular boy with red hair who looked to be around our age barged into our cabin with two other boys behind him. "This room stinks!" He shouted mockingly with his hand waving around his nose "Mus be da peasant right ere, boss" one of his possies answered in response pointing at me. "You're right Jess" he replied walking over to me. Placing his right hand on my head he goes "Now what is a filthy peasant like you doing in the first class carriage hmm?
You should be in the economy class like the rest of the trash mage or even in the baggage compartment considering you weren't even born with magic, monkey Hahahaha" he rocked my head back and forth as he said with a menacing mocking tone.
"Back off Alfonso!"Art said as he placed his hand on the big kid's shoulder. "Arthur Cromwell and William Vaccaro, now what are the two noblemen like you hanging around with this piece of trash for?" The big guy who's name I learned was Alfonso turned towards Art and Bill while his hand was still on my head.
"Simon is the son of Mr Chronos, he has every right to be here the same as us."
William rebuked in a firm tone while looking at Alfonso with disdain.
"Yes, except from what I heard he was adopted, and that means his legitimacy as a noble is voided."
Alfonso chuckled as he shook me rougher.
"LET HIM GO!" Art shouted in anger
"Hmmm…..Make me!" Alfonso chuckled in response,
"Hey Alfonso! You might wanna listen to them" I said while my head was facing the ground
"You say something to me trash" he said with a look of annoyance as he pinned me to the carriage wall and began to shout
"YOU DON'T SPEAK UNLESS I LET YOU SPEAK UNDERSTAND?! YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A……….ooooooh" he suddenly released my head and both his hands started to kneel down and grasp his groin in pain.
"Your breath stinks more than this room"
I said while literally look down on him
"Wha….what just happened?" Bill asked with a look of disbelief
"I think Simon just kicked him in the dick"
Art replied also with a look of disbelief
I walked over to them and said "Yes… Yes I did!"
And turn towards Alfonso and his gang
His two possies help Alfonso to his feet and also prepared for a fight
"YOU'RE DEAD, PEASANT!!!" Alfonso shouted, his face red as a tomato as he lunged towards me.
Art stood in front of him and upper-cut him in the face followed by a side kick to the chest Alfonso fell back outside the cabin and into the corridor. As he was being held up by his men he pointed towards the three of us "You'll pay for this Cromwell! And you peasant trash don't think this is the last you see of me." His gang dragged him away as he finished.
"Wow, now that was amazing!" Art said as he hugged me. "I didn't know you can fight like that"
"I learned from the best" I said patting him on the back while hugging him
"Yes, but now he will make our entire school year difficult" Bill gave a look of concern. "So who the hell was that idiot?" I asked after pulling back from the hug.
"His name is Alfonso Hapsburg-Este Jr,
He is a descendant of the first Sage of war during the period where the mages were revered as gods." William said with a serious tone in his voice
"So his ancestor was the god of war?" I asked
"Yes, back during Roman civilization, they even gave him a title and it gradually became a name and that title is Mars, Alfonso is trying to revive that title for himself" Art continues "He is also related to me through my lineage to the first lightning Sage"
I already knew that Arthur and Bill was related the original Olympian sages but I didn't think there'll be others out there as well
As I was processing what I just heard the train had already arrived at the school platform.
