"Hold on, Jyomi" said Kazuma, barely staying afloat.
"But... I... I... I... can't..." replied Jyomi and disappeared under the water.
"Jyomi!" Kazuma called him, but Fukuda didn't resurface.
After a while, the water also reached him and he had to hold his breath to keep from drowning. He knew that he was about to die, that he would never see any of his friends again. At the edge of consciousness, he saw two people jumping into the water. One of them freed Jyomi with an efficient move, the other swam to him and unhooked him from the wall. The other person was Sakamo. Kazuma lost consciousness.
Akiya reached the surface with unconscious Jyomi. He gave him to Yuji and Dai helped him leave the hole. After a while Sakamo appeared, carrying Kazuma. Dai grabbed him and put him on the ground. Akiya helped Sakamo leave the hole.
"How is he?" Sakamo ran to Dai and Kazuma.
"He's unconscious, but alive" replied Dai.
Sakamo looked at his friend. Hideki was just evil. He didn't care about life.
"We have a bigger problem" announced Yuji. "Jyomi's aura is disappearing."
"Great" Kouske walked to them. "Jyomi, wake up. Don't die."
Kazuma woke up abruptly, coughing. He saw Sakamo and Dai leaning over him.
"What happened?" he asked, when he regained his counsciousness completely. "Where's Jyomi?"
"His aura is disappearing" replied Dai.
"Is it bad?"
"Well, yeah" Sakamo nodded.
"Does someone know, how to save humans?" asked Akiya, knealing beside Jyomi.
The others obediently followed his instructions. He also moved away. After a while, Jyomi started coughing and regained consciousness as such.
"What... How did you come up with that?" Akiya was surprised.
"It's simple" said Kousuke. "We tried to help him, but there were too many of us. He's a conqueror, do you think they breathe normally, when they come into contact with so many vampires? If so, remember times in your human life you went somewhere in a snowstorm. It's the same feeling."
"Do you mean that he >>forgot<< to breathe?" Yuji was shocked.
"You can call it that" replied Kousuke. "We just took the warm air away from him."
"Great, we almost killed our friend, when we tried to save him" Akiya slapped his forehead with his hand.
"And why did you come up with it so late?" asked Dai.
"I panicked" Kousuke answered honestly.
"Sakamo, get them out of here" said Yuji.
Sakamo put Kazuma's arm over his shoulders and took the half-conscious Jyomi in his arms, then ran with them to the hospital.
"You took my dinner. You'll pay for this" they heard a voice suddenly.
Vampires turned around sharply and saw a sneering Hideki in front of them.
"Taniguchi" growled Kousuke. "Can you imagine, how much they suffered because of you? How much people suffer because of you in general?"
"I know that, Kousuke" replied Hideki. "It amuses me too."
"Do you find it amusing that you almost killed two people?" asked Akiya, who was standing closest to him and could almost touch him. "What did you even want to do with them after that?"
"Drink their blood. And I wanted to drown them, because it's fun to watch people get scared and die" replied Hideki.
Akiya couldn't resist anymore and lashed out on him. Strangely, he even knocked him out.
"Being a vampire is a curse, not a blessing" said Akiya.
"So why did you turn into vampires two of your friends, Mooney?" asked Hideki and kicked him into the air.
At one point, Akiya started to wonder, if he could knit something, because he flew and flew and flew non-stop. He didn't start to fall until he passed the clouds and waved to some girl in a plane flying by. Yuji caught him just above the ground. Little has changed during his absence. More specifically, the conquerors and "a few" of Hideki's subordinates came. He was sitting on the building, swinging his legs.
"Thanks for catching me" Akiya said as Yuji put him down. "I don't want to crash to the ground and then have you watch me regenerate from body parts scattered around in about three kilometer radius."
"You're welcome" Yuji replied and killed another bad vampire.
