Broken Youth... The title matches Kamoshida's arc and the atmosphere of the whole chapter.
The brief moment of joy that comes from Ryuuji's sincere friend (his opinion of Kou is funny) is crushed to dust by the gloomy Sojiro, which feels colder than the original. Which is why the lonely Shujin in the middle of Leblanc makes me feel sad and sorry for him. He has suffered so much, he tries his best to restore his relations with Sakura! That's enough from him already!
And then came Akechi.
This scene really scared me. You don't expect Kou to sleep and have a nightmare. Darkness and shadows, escalation step by step... And the climax - the most terrible face of Akechi possible! Warped, unnatural, with red glowing eyes... And yet still human. I'm not sure if this can be attributed to the Uncanny Valley, but I put the bricks in my shorts and respect you for it, dear author.
Drawing influences the atmosphere in the most positive way. Without it, there would not be even half of the effect that the chapter gives.
Kasumi is nice to see - she is a ray of light in this hopeless hell, just like Ryuuji. With Makoto in mind (whose actions at the beginning of the chapter are puzzling - why ask Haru for makeup if she's not a fan?), I'm interested to know where Yoshizawa's story will go and if there will be a love triangle.
I can't help but praise Ryuuji's awakening. It is shown in all its magnificent glory, plus you did not delay the transition to this case.
The chapter was amazing. I want more and look forward to continuing as soon as possible.
P.S. The chapter cover is a work of art. And I really hope that Kou will be able to influence the situation with Shiho. Because otherwise, even more horror and hopelessness awaits us than they were in the original game. I'm talking about the rooftop scene, yeah.
The protagonist is killed by Akechi, and gets sent back to the start of the game. Knowing what he knows now, can he make the right choices and avoid another bad ending?
Experience all again in this run full of strong emotions and a whole new take on the story, told by these gritty, filthly-drawn pages!
