"It's time to start uhh," Aether whispers as he watches every enrollment lining up and taking their tests. The mages were lined up separately and the same goes for the non-mages too...As everyone takes their turn, Aether's name was gradually called "Aether Ryens, come in," calls the testers...Aether began to walk towards the room where the test is being held.

As he walks "Hey! hey! look a handsome boy is going in to take the test" some girls started gossiping and they are referring to Aether who was walking towards the room. "Yeah, he is handsome and hot but too bad he is a non-gifter," says one of the girls while tweaking her hair..." Haha, what's the point of being handsome if you can't even use magic." some boys in the crowd was dramatically laughing at Aether who continued walking even though he can probably hear all the mocking he gets..."Haiysh, background characters," Aether mumbles as he walks...

As you guys are thinking, yes they are talking about Aether who is going to take the test as a non-gifter...yes what to do, it's his fate that he was born without any magic in this world where magic is given more prestige...or so I would like to say but do not misunderstand this is not the power of your creation...Oops wrong, my bad, my bad..haha.I just want to try saying that hehe, anyway back to the topic...Do not misunderstand, this is all going according to his plan or more like this is the only way for him...I know that you...my fellow readers don't understand but do not worry, you guys will understand soon.

Magic was born into this world a few thousand years ago... many variations of magic exist in this world, the common ones are fire, water, lightning, earth, and wind. There are many other magics created from those five as well. In this magic world, there was a magic that was labeled as forbidden magic. This particular magic was so rare that it was only used by a single man.  Although he had already passed away...But soon after that, this magic was forbidden and a new rule came out as whoever wields this particular magic either will be killed or put under surveillance by the magic community.

The reasons for these are still forbidden. And this particular magic is called the "Time Magic" or the Stairway of Heaven. This means it's a magic that surpasses everything and has no weakness...The very existence of this magic is a threat to all...Is that magic that dangerous? we won't know until we have it.

I guess at this moment most of you guys have figured out where I am coming from and for those who didn't, let me explain even though I am sure everyone knows...right? Anyway, as you guys can catch a glimpse of what I am talking about Aether does have magic. He can shake the balance of this world if he wants and I probably shouldn't get ahead of myself. Anyway, I am not kidding at this point. Having the forbidden magic, Stairway of Heaven is no joke...This magic grants him these powers such as ability to stop time and move in time...there are many more secrets and abilities that these particular magic posses...Right! Yeah! to think that the very rare and threatening magic has fallen into Aether's hands and to think I will reveal the plot of this story so snappy.

As it goes, revealing his magic is not a very good choice and no one knows about this even his very own family since he awakened...sad right? Anyway until now his family is thinking that he is a non-mage and he successfully covers it up for 5 years without no one knowing, but Aether does know that this secret cannot be hidden forever. This is the reason as to why he choose to enroll in the magic academy despite the risk. The fact that this magic appeared again means it must have a meaning.

An individual usually awakens when their mana reaches a promontory. Usually, a mage awakens on their eight but this is different in Aether's case. He only awakened when he was ten. Yes, Aether awakens slower than others and maybe that is the price for having the time magic...But since he didn't awaken in his tenth, everyone taught that he was a non-mage and this surprisingly helped Aether to hide his magic to this very day...
