17 | ECT Part 1: Consideration | Doctor Robot

ECT or Electroconvulsive Therapy is one of my options for my treatment resistant depression. I've already done TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) which had absolutely no effect & cost a bunch of money, so I'm slightly hesitant about trying ECT - especially given the side effects & cognitive risks on top of the cost. Suffice it to say, my request to basically be put down as a viable alternative didn't amuse my doctor and we're still exploring treatment options.
