Edwin and uncle Lambert stop to listen as they were sure the sounds of the drums had stopped and indeed that was the case and instead they could hear the creatures squeaking loudly and in what could be interpreted as angry manner. Their absence had been noticed.
Edwin quickly fiddled with his remaining "tools" and fashioned an artificial vine and web curtain, suspended by his tape measure. "Farewell old friend, you've been a great help and an honorary sturdy rope." Quietly he hoped this will mask which way they went.
Time to hoof it with a great speed. The guys run out of the temple.
"You know nephew, there's a great pirate treasure somewhere in this area, too." Uncle Lambert started whilst they were heading as fast as they could towards a small opening in the forest. "Enough already, uncle! Just run!".
