Waking up late is what I'm used to. I snooze my alarm until eventually, I have 15 minutes to get ready. I'm supposed to get up at 5:00 so I can make it to the bus but I wake up at 6:20. My hair was curly, kind of like a bowl of noodles. I got up, grabbed clothes from my closet and headed to the bathroom.
I walked into the bathroom and plopped all my stuff down on the counter in front of me. I reach out to grab my brush. It's always hard to get the brush through my hair. I put the brush down and grabbed the hair straightener. I bent over and plugged it into the wall. As I began to straighten my hair out, I heard a bang at the door.
"HURRY UP CROW!" yelled my older sister Elle.
"Alright!" I said in a sarcastic voice.
I pushed my bangs over to cover my left eye like I usually do. I plopped my t-shirt over my head. I pulled down my ripped jeans as I ran out of the bathroom. I grabbed my black jacket and pulled it on. I wasn't surprised when my zipper wouldn't stop getting stuck, it happens all the time. In the end, I just left my jacket unzipped. As I picked up my bag, the bus came right by.
I said bye to my older sister who was watching over me while my parents were working early and walked right out the door. I walked inside the bus and walked all the way to the back where my best friend Pearl was.
Pearl always called me "emo" which makes sense because I kind of look like that one 16 year old in an emo cult. She kind of looked like if you mixed Barbie and that one "Tomboy who thinks they're cool" together. She always bragged about her rich dad while I sat there living in a small townhouse. My parents are usually always working early or working night shifts. Pearl's mom left when Pearl was 8.
Pearl and I talked for a while until we arrived at the school. I hate the people at my middle school. I don't know if it's just a middle school thing but the kids always pick on us because we're the youngest group in the school. I always wished I could fight back but I've got in trouble too many times for that. Plus, my parents would kill me (not literally)!
We headed inside the room. I walked up to my locker. My locker stank badly. As I opened, my mouth dropped down as I looked at a dead rat in my locker. It sat on the coathook.
"What the-" I said before I got interupted.
It was Harvey Adan. He laughed right in my face.
"Hey guys, Crow's a rat!" he yelled.
I grabbed the rat and threw it at his face. I shut my locker and ran off. I could hear him screaming halfway across the hallway. I headed to homeroom, I sat right behind him which sucked.
I grabbed out my phone and started talking with Pearl. I was really just bored and had nothing better to do. Harvey kept bugging me. My homeroom teacher went to use the bathroom for a minute.
I have science for first period so I'll be tired out for sure.
This story is told from the perspective of two best friends Pearl Rose and Crow Moore. Pearl is your average girl, she loves doodling, fashion and all that kind of stuff. Crow is kind of like an emo teenager, she loves black, listens to emo punk music and more.
