Celeste P.O.V
Due to having heard whispers of the Cassetican Empire losing ground at the front lines and potentially having Rion call for Ragnarok. I sent both Riven and Allen to gather Intel from the shadows to confirm or deny the rumors by scouting the camps and battle fields to locate any information on their moves. If we will be summoned, we need to be ready at a moment’s notice.
Last I heard Riven sent a raven and the letter said they’d be arriving in the next week. We all became very excited for their return. I could barely stay still and needed to move. Raya suggested a walk to take my mind of the wait. Just as we were taking a walk in the Imperial Garden I saw two men strolling towards us.
“Tia!” Riven shouted and began running towards me. In one swift motion before I knew what happened he had me in his arms and swung me around as if I weighed nothing. While from a distance he appeared nothing more than a six foot tall lean built man, when in his arms I could feel his strong well-toned muscles that came with years of training. “I’ve missed you Commander.” He was smiling so brightly it reached his gray eyes.
I felt my braid being spun around in circles and noticed Allen quickly made his way to my side. “We are home Commander. Safe just like you ordered.” His black and red eyes lit up asking to be rewarded.
“Are you surprised? Allen had the idea to surprise you since you may be annoyed with the old hag or blonde brats. I still wanted to send a raven so you wouldn’t be angry for not hearing from us.” Riven smiled down at me explaining the situation.
I could not contain my laughter and wrapped my arms around Riven and hugged him laughing at my surprise to see them so soon. “Thank you, this is exactly what I needed.”
“Your loyal servants back?” Allen kissed my braid and smirked.
I laughed again at his remark and laid my head on Riven’s shoulder. “No, I needed my loyal men back safe.”
“Well, either Allen is going to be bored or he will be relieved to not be vomiting, exhausted or practically comatose for multiple days in a row.” Riven nodded to Allen.
“I have my toys here and know the rules.” Allen smiled evilly. Clearly the Unseelie Fae in him was coming out at this moment. “I’m sure the Old Hag, Witch, Jester and the Demon are ready for me.” Allen doesn’t even use Greta, Lyra, Lucas or Rion’s proper names, he does not think that they are worthy of their names so he gave them new ones as they have become his toys.
“Yes! Allen start with your Jester. He didn’t bow to her and asked why he should.” Raya spoke up and smiled remembering Lucas’ disrespect during dinner.
“No, start with the Head Maid, Old hag! She called Celeste a foreign dancer. When I heard that I was livid.” Dominic fumed.
“I’d go for the Witch, she’s as annoying as always.” I shrugged.
“Surprised nobody said the Demon this time.” Riven put me down. “Usual lock himself in his office and basically live there except when Lyra gets him out?”
“Yes.” Raya, Dominic and I all chimed together.
Riven and Allen looked at each other and sighed. Riven shook his head and Allen smiled evilly. They then officially took a knee and bowed to me.
“Welcome home gentleman. You may resume your positions here.” I acknowledged their return. Upon acknowledgement they stood. Before I forgot it had to be addressed continuously in order to keep him in line. “Allen, be benevolent in your torture. Unless it involves Lyra or the Maid. Remember, I do not want to be married someone who has lost his mind.”
“Yes my lady.” Allen smiled. “I will be very kind to them and treat them with the gentlest care. They will have the… sweetest dreams.” He smiled with this dark black eyes overtaking the red.
“The sweet of humans and Dark Fey are very different.” Raya stated putting her hand on her hip.
“Never said it would be your definition of sweet Raya. It is mine.” Allen smiled darkly. “They may be bedridden from terror for a day or two by the time I am finished.” He began to chuckle.
“The old hag called me a foreign dancer.” I smiled knowing how angry Allen would become. Hearing the low growl rumble in his chest confirmed my suspicions. She would be paying for every demeaning word she said to me these past two months.
Allen had a darkened look to him as he kneeled at my feet. “Master, tell me every word. She. Shall. Pay.” He growled listening to every crude insult, harsh comment, and backhanded compliment as well as awful humiliating situation she placed me in the past two months. The more he heard the louder and more feral he became. Once I finished telling him I saw he resembled his dark fae half more than his human-half.
Riven walked up behind Allen, balled up his fist and hit Allen ontop of his head. "No." a man of few words but when he spoke each one had meaning and power. Riven saw no meaning in wasting his time or breath on other people who had no meaning or purpose to him so he didn't speak often. However, he was an amazing listener and had incredible knowledge and insight when you could get him to share his thoughts on topics.
Allen shook his head and returned to his eager, happy yet someone lovably crazy self and not the crazy lunatic killer out for blood we all know he is capable of. He glared up at Riven for a moment as his rubbed his head. "Did you have to hit so hard?"
Riven shrugged then smiled at me looking for his praise. I giggled and patted his back. "Thank you. Why don't we go back to the annex?"
"You're still in that place?" Allen crossed his arms.
"You expected different?" I rolled by eyes. After 5 years being cast aside in annex, which has the fewest fire places, least amount of servants to tend to them, lowest budget which doesn't permit much of a budget for firewood. It basically is a request for me to freeze and become sick every winter. Thankfully I have both Astarot and Blaze to keep me warm. However, I always have to hear Blaze complain about using lower level power just to keep me warm as he is the Elemental Prince and very proud of it so he prefers to assist in battles. Astarot loves to help keep me warm but always complains about me being treated so poorly.
"I could have hoped he'd come to his senses at least. And I think we are all tired of Astarot and Blaze complaining or threatening to burn the place to the ground." Allen shrugged.
My entire group nodded at the off handed comment. I sighed knowing full well that those two would happily do so and dance on the ashes of not just the palace but the empire after how they've treated me. "Let's not give them the chance and keep of them happy and at bay, sall we?"
"Whatever, Riven tell them what you found out." Allen poked his side.
"Worst blizzard in 600 years."
"Oh, lovely." I banged my head against Riven's chest.
"Can I save us all the time and burn the empire to the ground already?" Allen asked with a smile.
"NO!" Everyone shouted. Riven hit Allen again angrily.
