Yuume looked around. There was this endless void again, but it was even more quiet. It seemed like Kin didn't even want to let hikouri see for himself.
"Kin?" he called him, but didn't get the answer.
He heard footsteps after a while. He turned around. Kin was looking at him, surprised.
"What are you doing here again?" he asked.
"I just wanted to make sure that you're okay" explained Yuume. "We haven't met for a month."
"The Guild would contact you if something had happened, easy" Kin sighed and snapped his fingers, creating a blanket.
"Are you cold?" asked Yuume.
"No, I want to sit down" explained Kin. "Don't look at me like this. I won't force you to leave... again..."
Yuume sat down on the blanket. It was soft and fluffy, even if it didn't exist. Kin sat down beside him and has been thinking about something for a while, in silence.
"What happened?" asked Yuume. "You can tell me."
"You happened" replied Kin. "I mean, I didn't want to yell at you back then, but you surprised me and... People rarely give me complimentes. I'm not used to them."
Kin sighed.
"I'm sorry, if I made you upset."
"It's okay" replied Yuume. "I was more upset after our first meeting."
"I didn't chase you out back then" Kin pointed out.
"But you were unkind" explained Yuume.
Kin looked down.
"I don't like, when yubiwas don't respect the rules" he said firmly. "If you want to play with time, you have to follow rules strictly. Otherwise everything will get screwed up."
"Is the fact that we're talking now a violation of the rules?" asked Yuume.
"Actually, it is. Unless you ask me about business matters" replied Kin.
Yuume thought for a moment.
"Do yubiwas notice changes in time?"
Kin looked at him, surprised, and smiled slightly.
"Are you really so stubborn that you just thought of a proper question?" he asked, still somewhat cheerful.
And then Yuume realised that he saw him smiling for the first time.
His smile was pretty.
But on the other hand, hikouri had this strange feeling that he saw that smile before.
"But they don't. We just feel, when time is freezing and when time is melting. But we don't know, what happened, when it's not about the death of someone important for us" explained Kin. "Or should I say, their return."
"I understand" Yuume nodded. "What can you actually tell me about yourself?"
"Everything" Kin shrugged. "I just don't know, if it's not going to end our call. I don't quite know how my powers work in this field. All I know is that you can't tell me anything about my future."
"I don't know you, if that's what you're asking about" said Yuume.
"But you want to know me and that surprises me" admitted Kin. "Is it because I had a nightmare back then? I've had them almost every day for a decade, I'm used to it, really."
Yuume looked at him, frightened. Kin realised after a moment, what he said.
He looked away.
"We should hang up" Kin got up slowly. "The only thing I can do is giving you more and more reasons to worry about me."
"It's not true" Yuume got up too. "You're just giving me more and more reasons for hugging you again."
"What? No!" Kin froze, when Yuume really did it. "What the hell are you doing, Tansetsuki?"
"Nothing" replied Yuume. "It's a shame we don't know each other in reality."
"Why?"
"Hikouri can calm the mind down" explained Yuume. "I could whip your mind with magic and maybe you would have these nightmares less often."
"My friend is also a hikouri. She tried. It didn't work" replied Kin. "But you could really let me go now."
"You can always hang up, if it bothers you so much" noticed Yuume.
And in the next moment he was in his own bed again. Heiwa looked at him curiously, when he started to laugh in the pillow.
