"So he's a traumatised, sad, cute asshole" Shoguri looked at Yuume, trying to pull out a broken tooth out of dog's mouth. "Kind of like that mutt."
"I would rather compare him to a cat" said Yuume. "And stop calling him an asshole."
"Alright, alright" Shoguri finally pulled out the dog's tooth, which resulted in the pet biting into his leather glove. "Believe me, Pochi, you'll be happier without that fang."
"His name is Fluffy" Yuume corrected him, tossing the tooth into the biological waste bin.
"If only I could pronounce it" Shoguri fastened the leash to the struggling dog. "Although nothing beats that mongrel from Friday. What was his name?"
"I only remember that it had a triple name and a Roman three at the end" replied Yuume, sitting down at the desk.
"By looking at his fat body, I dare say I know why his two predecessors are dead" muttered Shoguri, dragging the dog outside. "First he didn't want to come in and now he won't come out, what a stubborn animal..."
Yuume laughed and started to fill out patient's profile in online register. Shoguri didn't do it even once. He thought that it's boring and useless, because these pets will probably live only up to five years because of their owners' low intelligence.
Yuume wondered, what Kin thinks about animals. Maybe he has some pets? Maybe he has a cat? Or two? Or five?
He had a workmate, who had five cats. But since some tragedy happened in her private life, she spoke to him less and less, until she stopped completely. He wasn't surprised. She expected comfort, but it's hard to give it to someone, when you're always high on psychotropics and you don't really know what's going on around you.
Maybe if Kin saves Tsuneo... Maybe then it'll turn out that in this timeline they didn't lost contact.
Yuume sighed. More and more often he thought that Kin might just fail. Or that somewhere along the way he'll give up. Or that something will happen to him. Or that...
Enough. Yuume looked at Shoguri, who had brought the rabbit carrier into the office.
"Blossom?" asked Yuume.
"Yes."
"Incisors?"
"Incisors."
Yuume sighed. Just as he was patient with every patient he really had, Blossom drove him... No, not crazy. Maybe he just had a small mental breakdown everytime.
Mostly because he couldn't remember the last time Blossom didn't run away from them during his visit and bit through the wires. Although Blossom's predecessor, Lulu, was worse. How many times he had pre-infarction because of Lulu, he doesn't even want to count.
Probably only Tanaka could tame Lulu. And maybe Fukuda. The rest of staff turned pale as soon as they saw their owner in the waiting room.
By the way, this woman certainly didn't see them. Yuume doesn't know if this woman has ever stopped looking at her phone screen. Probably only when she paid them.
It's not nice, but when Lulu died, everyone in the clinic really breathed a sigh of relief. Until her owner came with Blossom. Fortunately, she wasn't such a source of fear for veterinarians as her predecessor, but the younger ones were hiding in the storage anyway, whenever the bunny was brought into the office.
Yuume sighed again when Blossom obviously took advantage of their moment of inattention and ran under the desk.
"What do you think it will be this time? A fan or a computer?" asked Shoguri, trying to catch a bunny before a disaster.
"A fan would be better" replied Yuume.
At that moment they heard a "BOOM" and Blossom, with a little burned fur, started to hopp towards Yuume's arms.
"And what?" asked Yuume, returning to the interrupted activity.
"The fans aren't working" Shoguri replied.
"So a fan" Yuume put the rabbit into the transporter. "Do you think she'll notice?"
"She never notices" Shoguri took the transporter and left the office.
Yuume smiled slightly and called Matsuda, informing him about a drawback. Good that Lulu taught Tanaka that it's worth insuring the clinic against such accidents.
