As the sailboat left the dock, Fate Kure looked out over the calm waters of the harbor and took a deep breath. He knew that the journey ahead would be long and treacherous, but for now, they were safe. Lizar lay on the deck, still recovering from his Vig Rage while Hamton Kira stood at the helm, expertly guiding the boat through the crowded harbor. Fate watched as the New York skyline faded into the distance, replaced by the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. He couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation as they set out into the unknown, unsure of what lay ahead.
As they sailed further out to sea, the distant storm on the horizon grew closer and more menacing. The sky turned dark and ominous, and the wind began to pick up. Hamton gripped the wheel tightly, trying to keep the boat steady in the face of the coming storm. Fate glanced out at the churning waves and knew that they were in for a rough ride. "We can't sail through that," he said, pointing to the storm. "We'll have to find a way around it." Lizar, still weak from his Vig Rage, nodded in agreement. "Agreed. We can't risk further damage to the boat or to ourselves." Hamton gritted his teeth and looked out at the storm in determination. "We'll find a way through it," he said, his voice resolute. "We've faced worse before."
As they navigated closer to the storm, the waves began to grow larger and more turbulent. The boat lurched and groaned under the strain, and the soldiers rushed to tie down loose equipment and secure the sails. "By the gods," Hamton muttered under his breath. "I've never seen a storm this fierce before." Fate clung to the railing, feeling the spray of the ocean and the sting of the wind on his face. "We need to be careful," he said, his voice barely audible over the howling of the wind. "This storm could be unlike any other." Lizar lay below deck, feeling the storm building within him. "I can feel it too," he said to Fate. "The storm and my Vig powers are inextricably linked. We need to be prepared for anything." As they entered the heart of the storm, the boat was tossed and turned by the massive waves, and lightning crackled overhead. The wind was deafening, and the sky turned a sickly green color. Hamton struggled to keep the boat on course, his muscles straining with the effort. "Hang on tight!" he yelled to the others. "This is going to be a bumpy ride."
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning struck the boat, sending a massive jolt of electricity coursing through the air. Lizar convulsed as the lightning struck him directly, his Vig powers going haywire. The boat rocked and swayed as everything around them seemed to come alive with a strange energy. Fate felt a sudden surge of power flow through his body, and he gasped in surprise. "What is this?" he exclaimed, feeling his senses sharpen and his mind expand. "I can see everything so clearly!" Hamton felt a similar sensation, as the power of the lightning filled him with newfound strength and vitality. But as the initial shock began to wear off, they realized that something was wrong. Lizar's powers seemed to be growing stronger and more unstable by the second, and the boat was being torn apart by waves and winds beyond anything they had ever seen. "Lizar, what's happening?" Fate yelled over the deafening roar of the storm. Lizar groaned in response, his body wracked with spasms. "I can't...control it," he gasped. "My powers...they're out of control." Suddenly, arcs of lightning began to shoot off of his body and strike the boat, cracking the wood and scorching the sails. "Lizar, you're going to sink us!" Hamton shouted, trying to steer the boat away from the dangerous arcs of electricity. "I can't stop it!" Lizar screamed, fear in his eyes. "It's like...like I'm a lightning rod!" As the storm raged on around them, Fate felt a strange tingling in his fingers, and he glanced down to see electricity crackling along his skin. "What the hell?" he shouted, realizing that he too had gained a new power from the lightning strike. "I can manipulate electricity!" Hamton, meanwhile, felt a newfound connection to the ocean around him, and he realized that he could manipulate it like never before. "I can control water!" he shouted in disbelief, using his newfound powers to create waves that helped guide the boat through the storm.
As the storm raged on around them, Lizar struggled to control the chaotic energies within him. But slowly, he began to gain a sense of himself once more, and his powers started to stabilize. "I...I think I can do it," he gasped, sweat pouring down his face. "I can control my powers again." Hamton, using his newfound powers to their fullest extent, expertly navigated the boat through the turbulent waves, dodging lightning bolts and rogue waves with ease. Fate, meanwhile, had begun to channel the electricity around them, using it to deflect dangerous lightning strikes and keep the boat safe. But just as they thought they had the storm under control, one of the soldiers spotted something on the horizon. "Captain!" he shouted, pointing off to starboard. "There's an enemy ship...and it's huge!" Lizar looked up to see a massive ship bearing down on them, easily 100 times larger than their own boat. "Prepare for battle!" he yelled, unsheathing his dagger. "We're not going down without a fight!" One of the soldiers near Fate handed him a long sword, hilt first. "Take this," he said, his face grim. "You'll need it to defend yourself." Fate took the sword, feeling the weight of it in his hand. But then he noticed something strange - the sword was crackling with electricity, as if it had somehow absorbed some of the ambient energy around them. "What the...this sword...it's energized!" he exclaimed, amazed at what he was seeing. "I can...manipulate it." As the massive enemy ship loomed closer, the three companions steeled themselves for battle, unsure of what the lightning had truly unleashed within them.
As the massive enemy ship loomed closer, the crew of Lizar's boat began to realize that this was no ordinary vessel. The ship was flying a flag bearing a red, bleeding skull - the symbol of the rebels. "We're under attack!" Lizar shouted, readying his dagger. But then, to their horror, the rebels fired a massive cannonball in their direction. The crew was unsure if they would be able to have their ship dodge it in time.
