i draw these in advance, so i might not have gone for a swim today.
but either way - i do believe exercise is good for your mental health. only people forget how much easier said than done it is. exercise should be 1. your decision, and 2. fun and not too strenuous for your body.
exercise isn't about going for a kilometre run straight away and pushing yourself to your limits instantly. it's about wanting to get out of the house, get fitter or EVENTUALLY going for a long run.
you can't push your limits until you know where that limit is, and for that you have to start small.
go for a half hour jog everyday and see how you feel after a week. go for a swim twice a week and see how you feel after a month. baby steps are still steps, and if you miss a day or forget don't be too hard on yourself. when you're just starting something, starting anything, it takes awhile to get into the swing of it.
if you read this far then thank you, and maybe contemplate stepping outside the house. you don't even need to do anything. just walk out, take a breath and walk straight back in. done, easy. you have now done your exercise quota for the day. congratulations :))
