Microbials

Microbials

Apr 24, 2023

Our next stop for our journey is somewhere unexpected. We are now due to explore something strange. Something bizarre. Something seemingly impossible. A micro-civilisation. Meet the Microbials! A molecular species of intelligent organisms. Not much is known about these bizarre creatures other than the fact that they are tiny. These  critters measure in at approximately 0.5 millimetres long. Yet despite their minute stature, they have created a great civilisation which had lasted for 52 million years. They have laws, machines, and vast micro-metropolises.

These tiny beings were only recently discovered; however they have been around for a long time, with their evolution dating back 89 million years. They gained sentience rather quickly and began to form nation-states. These nation-states were at war often, with clashes killing Trillions of the micro-organisms. Their population is immeasurable due to their ability to reproduce rapidly. Microbials seem to be small round creatures with six limbs which they use to move about. Often, they are a bright blue or green colour however mixtures have been found as well as other colours. Microbials seem to have an intelligence about that of a human, however this is a highly contested fact.

By far the most impressive feat of the Microbials is their large sprawling cities often reffered to as micropolises. These micropolises consist of millions of buildings which are interconnected via vaccum tubes and tunnels. It is unknown exactly how these cities came to be, however they are measured to be only 12 million years old which indicates a rapid rate of evolution for the Microbials. Strangely enough, Microbials invented the first every perpetual motion machine which uses gravity to generate power. The workings of the machine are highly unknown as the Microbials are incapable of communication with other beings. These tiny inventors are truely marvels of evolution and show that life can truely take on any form.
