“Wake up, Tommy!” Toby shook him.

Tommy groaned, he opened his eyes to see two pairs of Toby and the world spinning behind him.

“I hope you have the worst hangover. I can’t believe you’d drink this much the night before school even after you promised you wouldn’t drink like this ever again.”

Tommy furrowed his eyebrows finally getting his eyes to focus on one Toby making the other Tobys disappear. “What’re you yelling about? I only had one drink with a single shot at most.”

“Bull crap. Tell me why your friend called me on your phone saying you drank too much and passed out on the street!”

Tommy felt even more confused, “what friend? I left the party alone. I even texted you.”

“God! You are such a liar! I can’t believe you. Whatever, Tommy. Get ready for school. We leave in an hour,” Toby slid off his bed and stomped out of the door slamming it behind him.

He could hear his mother call out not to slam doors.

Tommy slowly sat up, gripping his head and feeling nauseous from the dizziness. 

What the fuck happened last night?

He left the party because Max’s friends were assholes and then he was walking home and-

Tommy shot up out of bed nearly falling over as he stumbled into the bathroom panting and sweating. 

Flicking on the light and tilting his neck, he looked for any sign of a bite but there was nothing. Absolutely nothing. 

He grasped the edge of the sink and glared at his reflection. He looked like shit. His blonde hair was a sweaty mess and his skin was ghostly pale. Even his green eyes seemed to have dimmed into a pale grey.

And everything was still fucking spinning.

Tommy stripped off his sweat-damped clothes from yesterday, turned on the shower, and hopped in immediately, not bothering to wait for it to warm up. He gasped at the chill but it woke his brain up enough to focus and make the dizziness recede finally. 

He could have sworn that bastard bit him last night. But why would this random dude bite him? It just sounded insane. Had Tommy dreamt the entire thing and actually did have too much to drink? Was Max the one that called Toby?

“Tommy! Breakfast!” His mother called.

Tommy stepped into the dining room, staring at the scrambled eggs, bagels, and sausage links but none of it seemed appetizing. His father was sitting at the head of the table, scarfing down his food as he scrolled through his phone. Toby sat next to him not bothering even to glance Tommy’s way. His mother stepped out of the kitchen with a glass pitcher of orange juice.

“I’m actually not really hungry, Ma. It all looks really good though. Maybe save me a plate for later?”

His mother smiled at him, “First day of school nerves getting to you?” 

“Maybe. I’ll head out now,” Tommy said, turning on his heel.

“Aren’t you going to wait up for Toby?” His mother questioned.

Tommy glanced back at Toby who still didn’t look at him. They’d never been in a fight before really and Tommy hated it especially since he couldn’t even remember doing anything wrong.

Not bothering to answer, Tommy walked out of the house and started the short walk to school.

Tommy: It’s all over my feed kinda impossible not to🫣

Percy Jackass🌊: People are calling you the ‘Fallen Angel’ that not even hell can accept.

Mother Del🌼: They also want you and Toby to do some shows. I think that’s a great idea. That way DFA won’t fall out of the spotlight.

Bubz🧸: It wouldn’t be the same. Plus I kinda wanted to focus on school this year. I got SATs.

Tommy: Yeah idk

Percy Jackass🌊: What about just you Tommy? 

Tommy: One angel playing as the Devil’s FOUR angels sounds kinda lame.

Percy Jackass🌊: wdym?? The ppl have already made a new name for you. Go on as the Fallen Angel.

Mother Del🌼: You should do it, Tommy! Even though our fans love us now, 4 years is a long time to disappear for.

Tommy: I’ll see.
