"What are you doing here?" A male voice emerged in the midst of all that silence, the deep and grave sound echoed through the library.
The little fairy disappeared into thin air, and the platinum-haired girl felt completely abandoned. She called the fairy a traitor in her mind.
Annabell placed her hand on her chest. A sob escaped her reddened lips, and her face took on a frightened expression, with her brown eyes completely wide open. Annabell felt like she was in a horror movie scene. She was sure that when she turned around, she would find a monster with seven heads.
Her feet started to move, and the princess's movement was slow as she tried to control her breathing. Her mind tried to find an escape route in case she encountered a seven-headed monster.
"Does the princess scare easily?" Behind her was Ezariel, not wearing the leather cape he had used in the garden incident. His clothes were quite ordinary, with the black tone still predominant in his attire.
Annabell preferred it to be a Seven-Headed Monster.
Ezariel approached Annabell. The princess's scared look turned into an irritated one, and she took small steps back, trying to keep her distance from him.
"Move out of the way, princess. Don't think I came here after you." At the end of the sentence, Ezariel laughed and raised his hand towards the princess's face. Annabell took a long step to the side, avoiding the redhead's hands.
"Don't touch me!" The princess didn't speak kindly, and her voice even had a touch of arrogance and disgust. The fear soon left her body, and she crossed her arms, watching where Ezariel was going.
She watched as Ezariel headed towards the section on the Academy, and she waited for the moment he hit the invisible barrier. The sound of "TUC" spread throughout the library again. Annabell put her hand in front of her mouth, trying to contain her urge to laugh. The redhead remained completely motionless.
"I was going to warn you about that... but you were in such a hurry. Only Class S students can enter there." Annabell made a fake sad face.
The princess stared at Ezariel's back. Since the redhead didn't have any major reaction, the princess's mind went back to the scene when Ezariel touched her face. She could still feel the ghost of Ezariel's hands.
Her tongue seemed to itch to ask why he had come there. Ezariel didn't seem like the type of person who was interested in history. Annabell didn't want to receive any stupid response from him, so she thought it was better to stay quiet. The princess was so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't even noticed that the redhead had turned to face her.
He had a curious look, but that look was not directed at the princess herself. He was more interested and focused on a strand of her hair. The only orange strand amidst all those white ones. Ezariel wondered if the dye had splattered onto the platinum-haired princess, but the strand was too small to be a consequence of the chaos in the courtyard. If it was caused by that, her whole hair would be stained.
The redhead remembered a rumor that circulated in the Kingdom of Hearts. The rumor was just one of thousands that talked about the dark secrets of the royal family of the white kingdom.
"Princess... do you know what people say about colored hair?" Ezariel's smile grew, it was the first time she saw Ezariel smile that way, and it was terrifying. The princess took a few steps back, but the man followed her.
"Wonderland doesn't stick to surface rules, I think you should know that." Annabell pointed to her own hair. "Colored hair is extremely common here."
She felt the bookshelf against her back. Ezariel was just inches away from Annabell, she felt something cold touching her neck. It didn't take a genius to figure out it was some kind of blade.
"I thought it wasn't your intention to kill me."
"Ah! Of course not, but there's a myth about your family, I imagine you don't know. They say that no member of the royal family will have any kind of color in their hair." The tip of the blade pressed against Annabell's skin. The woman's hands acted faster than her brain, she held Ezariel's wrist tightly, preventing him from putting any more pressure on the blade. "Because of this, a rumor arose in the Kingdom of Hearts! When any member of the royal family has any kind of color in their hair, that person will be responsible for the death and destruction of the entire Kingdom of Hearts." With her free hand, Ezariel touched the princess's colored strand of hair, bringing it in front of his brown eyes.
"You think this is something. By the rabbits, you're a complete maniac! It's dye!" She pushed Ezariel with her elbow. It was possible to feel the princess's anger. "And even if it wasn't dying, what would you do? Kill me?" She forced a laugh, the situation was becoming ridiculous. "I have bigger problems than your stupid paranoia. Don't start a war by being reckless!" Annabell began to walk.
The princess had firm steps, she walked towards the library exit. She knew that whenever she met Ezariel, the result would be the same, her anger.
In the hallway, superficial cracks began to open on the floor, and in each small crack, flowers began to bloom. The flowers had an interesting mixture, they were red and silver. The petals seemed to melt, and drops of silver spread all over the floor.
"When the tones change, the clock will turn. The princess's time is up, and the school has awakened... Hihi." The child's voice echoed through the huge hallway.
Annabell stopped walking, her feet side by side, her breathing began to accelerate, and she could hear her heartbeats. The child's laughter continued to echo through the hallway, Annabell thought about continuing to walk, but she couldn't take the next step. She had no control over her own body.
Her eyes roamed the hallway looking for the child, but there was no one there. She turned around and came across the trail of half-melted flowers, the entire part of the flowers was the red petals. The silver was running towards the beginning of the hallway, where a single flower remained intact.
A loud alarm sound echoed through the castle.
"Attention students! The real Academy games have begun! The first activity will be: find the flag. In the dormitory building, there is a symbol that represents each dormitory. The team that can protect their own symbol and capture another dormitory's symbol will win 4000 points." the voice paused and chuckled. "And those who do not participate...will be...expelled!" The announcement echoed throughout the school, and at the same time, the courtyards began to change as well as the composition of the dormitories. "When an alarm sounds, it means the game is open. Good luck to everyone!"
