"You wanted me to do what?" a guy grumbled as he was holding onto his cellphone while sitting in his bed.
"Yes Liam, we know about what you already found so far, and we wanted to have them brought to my house for examination." a concerned feminine voice explained within the young man’s cellphone.
"Seriously!" the now named Liam complained. "Can't you just come to my house instead, because I'm currently not in the mood to go out right now."
"Liam, I’m sorry about you being in a wreck and I can’t blame you one bit over it. Unfortunately, we must bring the 'gadgets' into my house for examination as soon as possible." the female voice suggested, not fazed by the complaint. "The faster we get this done, the more likely we'll figure out how to deal with the increasing monster threats. Are you okay with that?"
"Yes Clarity," the guy sighed in defeat.
"Thanks Liam." The young woman named Clarity nodded. "I'll pick you up as fast as I can, so hang tight."
“Are you going to bring Blythe also?”
“I had no choice since things are getting bad outside and we need some extra hands to bring the ‘items’ around, so yeah.” The young woman sighed. “But it’s better to have her around just in case.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Liam replied. “Just call me when you're getting close."
"I'll do that, thank you very much."
After that, the guy hanged up his cellphone, leaving him alone in his bedroom as he lies down on the bed while putting his cellphone on one of the drawers near the bed.
This is just great, Liam grumbled. I get some relaxation from work and Clarity called regarding the bizarre technology I'd currently have, especially with the madness that’s going on as of recent. A small price to pay with her around to examine them, this better be worth it. Well, at least she’s a reliable person as friend, so that’s the upside.
Once he slowly gets onto his feet from the bed, the first thing he did was to yawn while stretching his body in the process.
Despite being half-awake, Liam appeared to be a young man with fair skin that appeared healthy looking with a somewhat athletic build in contrast to his short but disheveled onyx-like mop of hair and medium brown eyes that seemed annoyed with his situation.
Likewise, he was wearing a messy golden yellow long-sleeved shirt, regular brown flannel pants, and regular black socks.
Looks like I'm gonna need to get myself dressed up, especially since it's a little cold and damp outside, Liam noted.

After getting himself dressed up, Liam walked around the hallway in front of the door as he put his black loafer shoes onto his feet.
Feeling satisfied, the young man stood up in front of the door with his forest green jacket, brown cargo pants, black leather gloves, and was carrying a small black backpack.
Liam pulled out his cellphone from his coat pocket and was about to dial when he heard a growling sound coming from the door.
Noticing something odd outside the door, the guy quickly puts his cellphone back onto his pocket, but before he can figure out what was going on, a monstrous creature bust the door open and tried to lunge towards the young man.
Reacting quickly, Liam sidestepped diagonally when the creature tried to attack him and started racing out of his house as fast as he can away from the monstrous creature.
Once he got out of the house that’s surrounded by grass and trees next to a driveway near a garage, Liam got to his knees in shocked as he tries to piece together what was going on and why a monster had invaded his house without warning. But as he turns around, the young man realizes the monster that had broken into the house turned towards him as it walked out of his now partial damaged house.
Liam takes a good look at the monster, he gasped in shock as the monster vaguely resembled a fusion of both human and bear that was few feet bigger than a car with a metallic black appearance, razor sharp bear claws and was standing on its hind legs like a human, making it seemed more larger than it already is.
What disturbed the young man the most was the monster’s face and head, as it resembled a sick fusion of a wolf and bear, its eyes covered by a shade of a twistedly sick yellow. But once the monster finally roared out, its mouth was much wider than an angler fish with its jagged sharp teeth while howling in a psychotic gorilla-like roar of pure rage.
So not good! Liam shrieked in horror as the monster charged towards him on all fours with the intent of tearing him apart.
But as the monster can make a strike, Liam got out of its way by diving away from its direction before landing on the grassy floor when he quickly pulls out a small black cylinder grenade from his backpack and after pressing a hidden button, throws it at the monster as it turns its face, causing it to become disoriented by a sudden shock that stuns the monster momentarily.
Guess it’s time to use those ‘gadgets’ then, huh, Liam stated to himself, realizing the severity of the situation at hand.
Not wanting the monster to continue the rampage, the young man quickly pulls out two black devices that resembled bulky metallic black gloves, from his backpack before slinging it onto his back.
Regardless of their appearance, Liam places the bulky gloves on his forearms, causing them to suddenly start to mechanically morph into sleek and futuristic gauntlets in a matter of mere moments before giving off an orange and blue color respectively from each armored device.
Once fully formed, the now-armed guy turned around and saw that the monster had finally recovered from the disorientation as it turned towards him, sickly yellow eyes glaring at his serious brown eyes before going for the attack on its hind legs.
Without warning, Liam blasted the monster with a blast of orange-like plasma from his gauntlet with the orange lights onto the monster's upper face as it tried to lunge at him using its claws before dodging out of the way.
As the monster started to crash-land towards due to the attack on its face, the young man carefully aims the gauntlet for further movement until the monster gets back up with its slightly melted face and started to repeat the attacks right towards him.
Not taking any chances with getting hit by its sharp claws and teeth, Liam continuously blast the monster down with his plasma-like gauntlet repeatedly, only holding his shots when he needs to evade the monster’s attacks, or if he has to aim the monster that starts to circle around him.
But even as he tries to repel the charging monster while maintaining his distance, Liam starts to notice the lights with the gauntlet he’s using start to blink more and more rapidly, his mind coming to the realization that it’s starting to run out of power very quickly.
Even so, the guy had to timed his shots right without damaging the battlefield or getting himself injured in the process, both prospects he didn’t want to find out for himself.
But while Liam is trying to keep his distance with his plasma gauntlet, the monster started to gain holes that were slowly melting away thanks to the orange gauntlet despite the metallic skin holding it together.
Likewise, the monster started to become increasingly furious with the guy's attacks and not being able to land a hit on him despite slowly gaining close shots at swiping the young man without getting holes in them.
Not willing to get injured any further, the monster got on all fours and turned its head down while charging at Liam. But before he can strike, the monster quickly turns its head up to the guy and blasted what appeared to be pressurized sound towards him.
Liam tries to get away, but the blast was close enough to pushed him back to the ground with enough force to make him cough out in pain from the impact the monster shot him with as he tries to regain his breathing without starting to panic.
Satisfied with the young man on the ground, the monster races to finish him off without getting blasted.
As he quickly regains his breathing, Liam discovers the monster is charging at full speeds despite the injuries inflicted and rolled out of the monster's direction as it tried to slam its claw onto his chest before charging the orange gauntlet briefly to blast the monster's forearm arm off its body, causing it to scream in rage.
Though Liam quickly gets back on his feet, he discovers that the gauntlet he used to shoot the monster’s arm off had gone to a dim orange light as to indicate of its low power.
Sadly, the young man didn’t have that much time to figure out as the monster turn towards him and blast another set of pressurized sound that presses him back the ground, the pain in his chest causing him to hiss out in pain.
Before the monster can unleash more pressurized sound blasts, Liam turns around and uses the gauntlet with blue lights from his other arm and blast out a clear liquid with cold air towards the monster’s open mouth, causing the interiors of the monster’s mouth to quickly break apart into several metallic pieces from the frost around its face.
While that managed to destroy the pressurized sound blasts from its mouth, that also caused the monster to roar out in both pain and fury while trying to pull its bearings together.
Liam quickly goes onto his feet despite the pain from the impact he got when he notices the monster starting to concentrate its anger towards the one responsible for destroying the interiors of its own mouth as it begins to turn towards him.
Now aiming his black gauntlet with blue lights while charging it, Liam calmly glares at the monster one last time.
Somehow, the monster turns towards the young man as well despite the loss of its arms, jaws, and pressurized sound attacks, glares in fury when walks sideways cautiously.
In return, the guy does the same thing also, both walking around a circle to see who will place the final strike.
As doing a showdown between man and monster, both stopped for a mere brief second when the monster began to charge right towards him with its remaining claws to finally land a brutal hit toward the young man’s head when Liam gave a full blast of his other gauntlet directly at its head.
The strong blast of the clear liquid causes the head to steadily be filled with frost strong enough to fully crack even as Liam ducks the final attack, constantly spraying the strong stream of ‘water’ until the monster is nothing but pure cracks.
Ceasing his attack on the monster, the young man watches as the monster finally breaks apart into a million pieces, the threat now nothing more than pieces of metal mixed with frost as it lies onto the grass, now utterly defeated.
Satisfied from his battle for survival against the monster, Liam walked away from the creature who is now finally destroyed despite getting injured and tired from the battle he finally won.
But as he considers pulling out his cellphone to alert Clarity of what’s going on, the young man sees a gray car coming towards the ruined house before stopping its engine.
Not only that, but Liam also noticed that two young women that were coming out of the car and finding him with the remains of the monster before racing towards him until he can see their familiar faces.
The two females consist of a young woman had fair skin with a few freckles in them, wavy golden blonde hair that nearly goes to the middle of her back, cheerful blue eyes, and was somewhat shorter than the other female; she wore wearing a tan and green jacket with a regular yellow vest, dark khaki pants, and medium brown walking boots.
The other young woman on the other hand, appeared to be at a similar age as Liam with fair skin, medium brown hair that is in a ponytail that is a few inches behind her back, and her black eyes looked serious and thoughtful with some hints of concern around them; she wore a royal blue trench coat with a blue waist belt around the coat, black pants, and black shoes.
"Clarity, Blythe." Liam shouted as he sees the two them coming towards him despite the pain he got. “Good to see you two again, though the place is a mess.”
However, the two of them appeared worried enough for the young man to realize what’s going on.
“Yeah, but Liam, what happened to you?” the brunette young woman asked full of concern on her face.
“And what with these gauntlets you have on you?” the young woman with golden blonde hair added in a childlike manner despite being worried about the aftermath of the battle.
Liam looked towards the blonde with a frown. “It’s going to be a long story, Blythe, so hear me out.”
The young man told the blonde named Blythe about the conversation he had with Clarity earlier about the stuff he has in the house, him getting dressed for the weather, and risking his own life trying to stop a monster from attacking him using the gauntlets that he has in his bag.
Not only that, but the brunette also added to Blythe about the discussion she had with the young man about the items he has and the possibility of examining them in light of the monsters arrival without warning.
“So, Clarity, this is really bad, right?” Blythe asked nervously.
“Sadly, yes,” the brunette named Clarity replied in a professional manner.
“And what about you two?” Liam wondered.
“Tried to get to your house as fast as we can without going into traffic,” the brunette recalled. “I was worried that the spread of the monsters must had caused panic to rise up as of recent.”
“That’s bad.”
“Yeah, tell me about it,” Blythe nodded bitterly.
“What now then?”
“We have to tend to Liam’s injuries from the attack before we can gather the items inside the house and into the car,” Clarity explained. “The faster we get this done, the quicker we can return to my house and figure out what to do next.”
“But why check on me?” Liam asked. “I can deal with some pain after the fight.”
“I rather not take any chances with your injuries getting much worse than it already is,” the brunette answered.
“And what about my house?”
“Sadly, thanks to that attack, I don’t think it’s safe for you to be here anymore until the problem is fully resolved.”
“Are you serious,” Liam tried to argue but the pain told him otherwise.
Clarity groaned reluctantly. “I hate leaving your house in danger, Liam, but due to that attack alongside damages to your place, it may be possible to leave it behind as it is.”
“In short, worry about your life, not the house and its stuff,” the blonde added.
The young man tried to grumble but had to agree with the brunette on that one. “Alright then, just when are you going to be done examining me?”
“It will take a few minutes at best, so be patient,” Clarity reminded the young man.
“That’s good,” Blythe sighed in relief.
“And what about Blythe?”
“She will help us out with packing up the items and taking the, into the car,” Clarity answered. “Alongside the necessities that Liam needs as well.
“For real?” the blonde squeaked nervously.
“Yes.”
“So not good.”
