Strife, death, and war were typical for this era. And that was because that one wish still lingered in the air. Perhaps this wish stayed because all the powers of old were destroyed. Or maybe the tribes of Altei and the tribes of the gatekeepers were supposed to be imaginary.
After years of peace, the world grew nicely from 2100 to 2700. These eras were known for their great discoveries and few massacres of death. Something strange happened; the grounds shook with fierce and mighty roars, and many thought it was the world's end. Much to their surprise, a miracle happens.
Grand, awestruck, eden-like structures appeared. Some reach for the skies, while others reach into the depths of the earth. It brought in bounties of food or never-ending water. The nobles cried joyfully, but because a chance to become more powerful than the kings had appeared.
The nobles started wars among themselves, blood poured over the land, and the towers drank that blood up. The masters of the structures grew twisted and decided to help the world become more chaotic.
And once those scumbags had won their wars, won their tower-like structures; they marched up to the gates and opened the doors. At last, the structures felt free. Like a woman getting ready to bathe, they stripped themselves of the lies that made them beautiful and devoured every human at their doors.
Monsters, more twisted than the night, struck terror in the villages surrounding the structures. And from that day on, the thing humans once worshiped became known as the Towers of Hell.
The World Emperor decided that the towers would not control him, yet if he controlled the Towers, he controlled Hell itself. Announcements were made to every peasant, noble, duke, and king;
“Whoever brings a tower down, whoever makes it crumble, and whoever makes the tower master humble would be given a chance to have a life grander than one of the four guardians.”
The era of the Death was born, followed by the era of The New Kingdom, and then the newest era, Hell’s Towers.
As those are stories of themselves, the story I will show you is a story that begins with a pair of siblings. Those siblings start a story that opens room for others' stories to start.
Just as I was born, my role was already planned out, and that was to be a scapegoat. I would willingly play the roles asked of me to help that pair of siblings change the world. Perhaps I will never be true to myself, but the man I call my father promised me I would one day have my dream to fulfill.
And my first goal is to set off a group of events that will shake the world. But by fulfilling this task, I must first be an arrow that strikes grief and chaos into two I love.
This is my letter to the king I serve. This is my first thought to the tower master, Pookas; this is my weary eyes looking to the witch of the Alteinen tribe in the east. That I am but a broken gate made to serve you Until my third death, in which case my mind, my soul, will officially belong to me once again.
Yours Truly,
The Lily of Death, the daughter of the nine tails, is the speaker of the past, present, and future.
