As Ava absentmindedly flipped through TV channels, her thoughts were consumed by their argument with her father. Her heart raced when Jax suddenly burst into the room, his face contorted in anger.
"Ava, we need to talk," he said urgently.
Ava sat up straight, ready to listen. "What's going on?" she asked.
"It's the rival pack," Jax replied, his eyes narrowing. "They're making moves on our territory, and it's getting dangerous. We need to be prepared for anything."
Ava felt a sense of dread wash over her. The rival pack was known for their brutality, and she knew that Jax and his packmates were in grave danger.
"I want to help," Ava said firmly, determined to be there for Jax and his pack.
Jax looked at her, his eyes filled with concern. "It's too dangerous, Ava. I can't risk your safety."
Ava felt her frustration boiling over. "Why won't you let me help, Jax?" she demanded.
Jax sighed heavily, his expression pained. "I don't want you getting hurt, Ava. This isn't a game. We're dealing with a rival pack, and they won't hesitate to kill anyone who gets in their way."
Ava could see the fear in Jax's eyes, but she refused to back down. "I can handle myself, Jax. Please, let me help."
Jax hesitated for a moment before nodding reluctantly. "Okay. But you have to promise me that you'll stay behind us at all times."
Ava nodded eagerly, grateful for the chance to prove herself.
The next day, Jax returned to Ava's house exhausted. He was greeted by the smell of fresh-baked cookies and the sound of Ava's laughter coming from the kitchen. As he made his way towards her, she turned around with a bright smile on her face, holding out a warm cookie for him.
"Welcome back, Jax," she said, her eyes shining with warmth and affection.
Jax felt his heart swell with love for this strong, kind-hearted woman. As they sat down at the kitchen table together, Jax couldn't help but feel grateful for this moment of peace in the midst of all the chaos outside.
As they chatted and nibbled on cookies, Jax reached across the table to take Ava's hand. She looked up at him, surprised but happy, as he interlaced their fingers.
"Ava," he said, his voice low and sincere. "I know things have been crazy lately, but I just want you to know how much I appreciate all that you're doing. You're amazing, and I feel so lucky to have you in my life."
Ava's eyes glistened with tears as she squeezed Jax's hand. "I feel the same way, Jax," she said softly. "You're my hero, and I trust you more than anyone else in the world."
In that moment, they both knew that they were meant to be together.
One night, Ava was home alone, her father was late from work. So she decided to help her self to some ice cream. Suddenly, she heard a loud banging at the door. She peered through the peephole and saw Jax, his face covered in blood.
"Jax, what happened?" Ava cried, as she opened the door to let him in.
"It's bad," Jax said, panting heavily. "The rival pack kidnapped your father. They're holding him hostage."
Ava's heart sank. She knew that this was the worst-case scenario. Without a second thought, she grabbed her keys and a crossbow Jax bought for her, she followed Jax out the door.
They drove to a deserted warehouse on the outskirts of town, where the rival pack was known to hold their prisoners. Jax explained to her that the rival pack's leader, Victor, was trying to take over Moonlight's territory.
"I don't know how, but they found out about us." Jax said, in a serious voice.
As they approached the warehouse, Jax tightened his grip on his weapon and signaled for Ava to stay close. The air was thick with tension, and Ava couldn't help but wonder what they would find inside. The stakes were higher than ever before, and she knew that their actions could have grave consequences for both packs. With a deep breath, she prepared herself for whatever lay ahead.
