Hello beautiful humans. Welcome to another chapter. Enjoy.

Jace’s P.O.V
I never thought I'd ever feel this betrayed. After all these years, I thought we meant something to each other. It hurts to know that the people you trusted could do this to you. It’s never going to be the same.
“Jace-”
“Don’t you dare say another word.” I interrupted the person who shall not be named.
“Would you just-”
“I can’t listen to this. I can’t believe you did this to me. I thought we meant something to each other.”
“WOULD YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP?” The other person, who shall not be named, yelled not going to lie, it scared me, so I stayed quiet. “All we did was tell you that we’re dating. So stop making it out to be that Amari cheated on you or something.”
“Still, you hid it from me for a year, which is unforgivable, and if Levi hadn’t accidentally found out, you would’ve kept lying to me. This betrayal cannot be forgiven.”
“For fucks sake,” Leo grumbled.
“Look, we’re sorry we know we messed up. We should’ve told you guys, but we weren’t doing well. We had a lot of issues, and with Le’s situation, we didn’t want to add any more stress.” Alex added.
“You idiots, what fucking stress are you talking about. You’re our friends. We would’ve been there for you. We would’ve helped you. This makes it worse the thought of you guys suffering alone drives me crazy. Ugh, this is pissing me off.” I got up to pace the living room in order to calm my nerves. “Why are you just sitting there? Say something,” I yelled at Amari, who looked dumbfounded.
“Say what? That you’re overreacting? Sure, babe, you’re overreacting.” Amari said.
I mentally gasped. The audacity on this hot piece of shit. This is the second betrayal of the day. What more is there? What a cruel world.
“How dare you. Since you no longer love me, you’re sleeping alone tonight.” I told Amari, who didn’t look very surprised. Damn it, he knows me too well. “I’ll deal with you later. Back to you two. So you two are official?”
Leo smiled, holding Alex’s hand in his as he nodded. Cute bastards. I guess I’ll give them a break.
“Okay, fine, you adorable shits. I’ll forgive you this time. But oh my god, we can go on double dates now. How exciting.” I squealed, running to hug them both.
“Thank you for forgiving us, your highness,” Leo replied smugly, which received him a smack from Alex. That’s my boy.
“What about me?” Amari asked. “Am I forgiven?”
“Hell no, you’re still sleeping alone. Good thing we got your old bed in the other room.” Amari pouted, and I almost broke, but no, I needed to stand my ground. I never overreact.
“Wish Levi came over with you guys instead of going home.” Amari changed the subject.
“Yeah, he said he needed to do things at home, so we dropped him off. We told him we would tell Jace, and he told us he needed to get home.” Alex replied.
“Lucky bastard,” Amari whispered, but we all heard.
“Anyway, speaking of Levi, we have a problem,” I said.
“What’s wrong?” Leo asked.
“So you know how Amari lived with Kayden and decided to move out?” I spoke nervously.
“Yeah?” Alex and Leo said at the same time.
“Well, he will be moving into Levi’s building.”
“WHAT?” Leo yelled. “What the actual hell? This kid can’t catch a break.”
“Oh no,” Alex’s face turned ghostly white for some reason.
“What’s wrong?” Amari asked.
“A few weeks ago, I went over to Levi’s and saw his next-door neighbour moving out. You don’t think it’s the same apartment, right?” He answered. Worry is written all over his face.
“That would be a very messed up conscience. Does Levi know?” Leo asked.
“No, we haven’t told him yet. I didn’t know how to bring it up. He’s just finished writing about what happened, and I didn’t want to mess up his feelings since he was trying to heal. But seriously, this is a cruel coincidence.” I sank deeper into my seat.
“You should, though, before he finds out himself, which is worse,” Alex added.
“I told you we should’ve told him when he was over helping out,” Amari argued.
“Did you really want to tell him after his little speech? You saw the look on his face. He thought he was smiling, but the pain was all I saw. I couldn’t say it.”
“Yeah, you’re right. I’m sorry.” Amari got up from his seat and came closer, sitting beside me and hugging me. Just because I’m mad at him doesn’t mean I don’t get to enjoy his sweet, warm embrace. Damn, this sexy bastard.
“Okay, we need to prepare on what to do for when he finds out.” Amari and I moved away from our hug as Leo spoke again.
“Okay, good idea, so what do we do?” I asked.
“What should we do?” Alex asked back.
We all looked at each other blankly. Great, no one had any idea what to do.
“Great, I’m friends with a bunch of idiots,” I added, disappointed.
“Says you, when was the last time you ever had a proper idea?” Alex retorted. He always knew where to hit.
“Guys, let’s focus, you know Levi? Our dear friend whose heart was broken by the guy who may be living next to him?” Amari interrupted our feud, knowing it would never end if it continued.
“Okay, what do we do?” I asked again, looking at Leo.
“What do we do?” Leo asked, looking at Alex.
“Oh, for fucks sake. I give up.” Amari got up and went inside the room.
“What’s his problem?” Alex asked.
“Who knows.”
…………………………………
After an hour of discussion and brainstorming, Leo and Alex decided it was time to go home. We said goodbye at the door, and I went back to the room to check on Amari. He was flipping through Netflix, trying to find something to watch.
“Have you been flipping through this whole time?” I asked as I lay down next to him on the bed.
“Yeah, because everything I want to watch I can’t watch without you, or you’d murder me, so I’ve been trying to find something interesting, but I can’t find anything. I tried watching Conjuring, but Annabelle just freaked me out, so I turned it off.” my god, why is he so freaking adorable. Chill, Jace. You’re supposed to be mad.
“Oh, okay.” I attempted to sound as cool as possible and not like I was one second away from squishing him to death.
“You’re still mad?” he asked.
“Obviously. Did I not show it, probably? Should I show it more?”
“No, thank you. This is plenty.” he smiled.
Amari’s eyes were locked on me. I knew if I looked back at him, I’d get lost in his beautiful eyes. I can never be too mad at him. I know I can be hard sometimes, and I love him for always understanding my need for the dramatic, and let’s be honest, I’m not the easiest to deal with.
“You know I love you, right?” his voice came as a whisper in my ear, sending my whole existence into chaos. Shivers ran down my body as I felt his lips on my neck nibbling.
“Um, w-what are you talking a-about?”
“How about I… make it up to you.” I felt goosebumps rising all over my skin. This man is going to be the end of me.
Before I could even answer, Amari climbed up on top of me, kissing me as if his life depended on it. His hand touched my body before slowly slipping to my waist. I closed my eyes as the feeling of his touch sent me to heaven. The next thing I know, his fingers dig into my waist, and I become a laughing mess. The bastard was tickling me.
“Hahaha, s-stop y-ou ahah, n-no.” I tried begging and kicking but to no avail. He was a relentless asshole.
“Take back the ‘you’re sleeping alone tonight’, and I will stop,” he smirked.
That sneaky asshole. I didn’t want to give in to him, but I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Okay, okay, I take it back p-please stop.”
“Your wish is my command, Bambi,” he kissed me one last time before stopping the tickling attack, and I could breathe again.
“I’ll get you back for this, you know?” I threatened in between breaths.
“And I can’t wait.”
“Asshole.”
“Well, I’ve got some bad news, babe. You’re stuck with this asshole for the rest of your life.” Amari turned to his side and cupped my cheeks. His smile lightened up the room; if he really wanted, it could lighten up the whole damn country. That smile is my lifeline.
“I love you too.” I smiled back. His hand caressed my skin, and his rough yet tender hand travelled down and glided underneath my shirt, pinching my nipples. Finally, he took the chance to kiss me. His tongue slipped inside my mouth. For some reason, he tasted divine. I moaned as his tongue roamed my mouth as if it was his home and he belonged there.
“I can never get sick of touching you. Every time feels like the first time. You got me hooked, Jace Adler.”
I smiled lovingly, “You’re all mine Amari Madden.” I grabbed his face and kissed him deeply. My fingers ran through his hair, tugging at the base of his neck. His hips moved rhythmically, sending electric shock down my spine. All my previous anger flew into the heated air of the room, turning to steam.
Amari pushed his leg between mine, rubbing against the tent that formed in my pants. I wanted him. I wanted him all over me, but especially inside me. He started taking off my pants as if he had read my mind. I was still wearing my jeans, so getting the belt undone took him a while. But once it was off, he got to work. Not wasting a second, his hot mouth found my shaft.
“Oh yes, just like that, baby.” My hand found his head and pushed him deeper. My dick hit the back of his throat, and I almost screamed at the feeling. His mouth is fucking magic.
“I’m so close. Don’t stop, please.” I begged as I felt my orgasm creeping up quickly. Just as I was about to finish, my phone rang, and I cursed at whoever was interrupting right now.
“Who the fuck is calling right now.” Amari’s head popped in from between my legs, just as irritated.
I got my phone from the nightstand and looked at the caller ID.
“It’s Levi. Hold on.” I told Amari as I answered the call.
“Levi, this better be important. I was just-”
“Help,” Levi’s voice was trembling.
“Lee? What’s wrong? What happened?” I asked as I got up and put my pants on as quickly as possible. Amari could tell something was wrong from my face, and he got dressed as well.
“I don’t know what to do I- h-he came out of nowhere, and I haven’t seen him in so long, and now he’s just… here.” Levi was rambling, and I could barely make sense of what he was saying.
“Okay, I need you to calm down and tell me what happened. Take deep breaths.” I tried to get him to calm down, but it was not working.
“It’s Kayden. He moved next door.” Oh shit.
I looked at Amari, and from the look on his face, I knew he had heard.
“Okay, we’re on our way. Hang in there, okay.”
“Okay, hurry,” Levi said before hanging up.
“Shit,” Amari spoke.
“I know. Oh god, this is going to be a disaster. Get the car keys, and I’ll call the guys.” I told Amari and quickly dialled Leo’s number. It rang for a few seconds before he answered.
“What’s up, stranger? Miss me already.” his smug voice made me want to smack him, but this was not the time.
“It’s Levi. Kayden moved in next door.” The smugness in his voice disappeared instantly.
“Okay, we’re on the way.”
I hung up the phone and left to meet Amari at the door. Jace is coming, Le. Hold on, sweetie.
