Livvik, sitting alone in his room, reached into his bag and pulled out a blank piece of paper and a pen. This time there was no emotion in his writing. It was just writing. He didn't feel anything. Before he could finish writing Mason interrupted.
“Meeting! Pop Harvey, you too!” He shrieked.
Everyone came to the living room. They didn't rush but they surely weren't going slow.
“I accept being a leader—” Mason started off.
Everyone kind of sighed in relief.
“—but that's not why I called this meeting; I called this meeting to vote someone out of the Jinx.”
Everyone seemed kind of confused.
“Who are we talking about here?” Pop Harvey said in a raspy, strained voice.
“Your “oh so perfect” nephew, Livvik.” Mason said, twisting his head at Livvik.
Livvie is scared and shocked. He didn't expect any of this. He was confused on why Men would want to kick him out. Everyone wrote their decision on paper and put it in the bucket.
“One vote Keep,”
“Two votes Keep,”
“One vote Leave,”
“Three votes Keep,” Pop Harvey announced.
Mason rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
“Why do you want me out of the Jinx?” Livvik asked, confused and a little hurt.
“I’ll show you why!” Mason answered.
Mason got up out of his seat and walked to his room. He rambled in his coat pocket and pulled out a folded paper. He rushed back to the living room where everyone sat, almost tripping on his way there. He sat back down and opened the paper as everyone stared at him confused.
“This is a paper Livvik wrote.” Mason exposed.
Livvik rolled his eyes.
“That's not important!” Livvik yelled trying to snatch the paper out of Mason's hands.
Mason snatched the paper back.
“What does the paper say?” Zen asked.
“Oh you're most definitely not going to like it!” Mason stated.
“I’ll read it for you guys.” Mason said, trying to tempt Livvik annoyingly.
Mason knew the outcome of this and he knew they would be on his side once he read this paper. He wasn't stupid. This was crazy and not even he could believe Livvik would do something like this. Pop Harvey would flip and Zen would try to kill him. Aaron would curse him out for making him feel like this all was his fault.
“To be sure we're all on the same page after this. We will have another meeting to see if we can get this bastard out of here!” Mason said before he started.
Everyone didn't like the words Mason was using to name Livvik but they needed to know what was on the note first. They weren't going to make a decision until then.
Mason felt powerful and he felt like a benign leader was just meant for him.
“Keep it up and you’ll be on your way to hell!” Mason threatened before he started to read.
He flexed his throat and began reading,
“How dare you Jean? How dare you do this to your own cousin,” Mason started.
Livvik covered his face. He wasn't expecting everything to end this way but he knew now. This was the end for him.
The rest of the group looked confused as Mason read. The intensity in the room was high. Zen was wishing that Mason hurry up and speed up the process.
