It’s going to take some time to get used to three of the most known members of their group not being there but after reading what Livvik wrote on that paper they didn't feel bad for what they did to him. They were putting two and two together in their head. They were all silent and in the living room together. The silence was broken by a knock.
*knock* *knock*
Pop Harvey answered the door and Zen, Mason, and Aaron ran into a random room.
“Pop!” An officer called out.
“Oh yeah! Had me worried.” Pop responded.
“Not yet!” The officer conversed sarcastically.
Or was it meant to be sarcastic or serious? He couldn't tell because of the trust he just lost in his own nephew.
“Guys get out here, it's a friend!” Pop shouted across the house.
All three boys came from different rooms in the house. They walked into the living room. There sat a bald officer in uniform. He sat tall and skinny. Slim really. His beard was past his shoulders and his head was square-like.
“I'm here to warn you Pop, the moves you’ve been making. They know more than you think but I begged to be on the case so I knew everything!” The officer said.
“Officer Sheridd, an inside man.” Pop introduced.
The cop just quickly lifted a few fingers off his knee as a wave.
The boys relaxed and listened.
“They know more than you think about pop. They got the Chaser kid for life practically. Judge said forty-three years plus four for trying to break out. They opened another case because your son was killed by police. He was killed by something or someone else. They know everything about the Zen kid. They know he murdered the boy and they know why he murdered the boy. They just can't seem to find him. They raided the last house yall were in almost an hour after yall left.” Officer Sheridd explained counting the list of things on his fingers.
Everyone including the officer was shocked. This was the best they have ever solved a case. Too bad it's not yet solved.
Zen wished he could just restart this from the beginning and not go to the grocery store. This was tragic.too tragic for him to handle.
“Well , thank you for letting me know something. I appreciate it.” Pop Harvey thanked.
Officer Sheridd stood up and made his way out of the house. Pop Harvey had a plan. He would have to run it by Mason first since he wasn't the leader but he had a plan. It would take a while too but he was sure it would work.
“Mason.” Pop called.
Mason lifted his head up fast and Pop nodded his head to the right signaling for them both to talk in another room. They walked into another room and Pop instantly got to explaining.
“I got a plan but I have to run it by you to make sure you're okay with it. So me and you leave in the morning and go to jail. We identify as Chaser’s rehab coach and step-brother. We’ll tell him that we need him to be at the gym outside in exactly 60 hours. It will be daylight but that's not the point. I’ll walk in the front office pretending to be shot by one of their “racist” officers. Aaron will come in as the racist officer. They’ll be confused because the two of you look alike but then you'll be at the back gate and you’ll throw a smoke bomb in allowing a few prisoners to get out. Chaser won't be in that gate. Chaser will eb on the other side of the building so then you quickly go there and do the same thing but with less surveillance and then make sure every single person out there gets out. If not then they'll at least be able to know the majority of people who got loose. Then, with Chaser and one other prisoner they will take them to the house they raided. They will have marks everywhere to spot evidence but t=youll have to avoid that. Then pay the other prisoner to rob a store so we can hijack a car that you will pick me and Aaron up in. We will flee to a different state and I am far away from this one and this all will be over with. We will start a whole new life there.” Pop Harvey explained.
He was breathing heavily because of saying so much with such little breath.
“What about Zen?” Mason asked.
“I was hoping you’d ask that. Zen will be taking our 18 wheeler with our things inside to the new state. I also had Wyoming in mind.” Pop Harvey answered.
Mason smirked.
“If only you were my adoptive dad.” Mason jokes.
Pop Harvey felt special a bit when he said that. As they were about to walk out of the room. They opened the door and Zen and Aaron were ear to door. They jerked back when the door opened and smiled when they looked at them.
“Well so much for running it by me.” Mason said joking around.
They all laughed and chuckled. The plan was good and nwo they just needed to put the “oh-so-amazing” plan into action.
They created maps of the police station and wrote notes on things and tweaks they needed to make to the plan for the safest outcome. The big risk they were worried about was if they bribe money to work on a prisoner. They planned on telling Chaser to find the baddest prisoner there and see if they can be with him when they break him out.
